Job Summary


The Plant Manager is the senior leader on site and is responsible for everything that goes on inside the fence-line and is the driver of the production process. We look to the Plant Manager to build a collaborative environment between operations, sales, engineering, accounting, and transportation. This dynamic leader will be pushing continuous improvement in workplace safety, production efficiency, product cost, and customer service.


Job Location


  • This role will be on site at our facility in Auburn, WA.


Job Responsibilities


  • Ensure the plant employees and guests on site comply with safety and environmental practices – lead by example and build a safety first culture
  • Lead production scheduling to meet customer needs including timely delivery
  • Develop a keen focus on customer service and proactive communication across the team
  • Partner with the engineering team to ensure proper drawings and designs are being used during the manufacturing process
  • Purchase material/services to successfully operate the facility
  • Successfully hire, supervise, orient, train and retain operations/product staff
  • Promote and maintain a clean workplace that is “tour-ready” at all times
  • Ability to read drawings, plan production tasks from those drawings, and coach employees to produce product correctly
  • Ability to operate some of the standard tools on the plant floor such as overhead cranes, hand tools, batch plant, etc. While the Plant Manager will not be asked to operate these things continuously, having some of these skills will make him/her a better coach and troubleshooter
  • Be a leader and coach leadership. Motivate crews during morning huddles. Lead effective Mid-Day meetings. Coach Leads on how to set expectations on a whiteboard and have them followed. Lead inventory counts. Promote safety best practices in meetings with other Plant Managers
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the General Manager as deemed appropriate and necessary by them


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience working in a leadership role in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience with precast/concrete or building materials is a plus
  • Proven track record of developing, leading and maintaining a continuous improvement mindset at the plant
  • Ability to work on your feet for the majority of the day in a production/plant environment subject to areas that are unheated and/or non-air conditioned
  • Ability to work with computer as necessary (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AX)
  • Ability to lead and direct other individuals and work with other group leaders

• Create, verify, and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), tooling geometry, and setup documentation for multi-axis CNC machines (primarily 5-axis).

Description Summary:

The Chief Heavy Civil Estimator is responsible for leading the company’s heavy civil estimating strategy, execution, and team development across all offices. This role will oversee a group of estimators operating from a centralized estimating location and will support bids for projects throughout the company’s footprint.


This position is a key leadership role in expanding the company’s heavy civil capabilities into new and existing markets including dams and water resource infrastructure, mass grading, mining support infrastructure, underground utilities, pipelines, and large-scale site development. The Chief Heavy Civil Estimator will produce accurate, complete, and competitive estimates and will build repeatable estimating systems that drive profitable growth.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Civil Estimator:

  • Lead and manage a team of estimators responsible for heavy civil bids across all offices.
  • Assign estimating responsibilities, coordinate workloads, and ensure bid schedules are met.
  • Develop and mentor estimating staff through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Establish clear estimating workflows, standards, review processes, and deliverables.
  • Lead preparation of competitive and complete estimates for heavy civil and large development pursuits.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing, labor and equipment productions, and bid-leveling.
  • Develop pricing strategies and collaborate with leadership to determine bid markups, general conditions, contingency, and schedule impacts.
  • Coordinate bid reviews and executive-level presentations prior to submission.

What You'll Do

* Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and a maintenance coordinator, setting clear expectations, routines, and accountability.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work from blueprints, templates, detail drawings, and verbal instructions to perform surface finish/conditioning on coordination holes in milled skins and spars.

  • Use templates and jigs to properly position parts for subsequent finishing operations, including reaming, countersinking, and cold work.

  • Scribe tooling locations and reference lines as specified in engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Diagnose and correct any detected discrepancies in parts and processes.

  • Check finished parts to ensure they meet quality requirements and specifications using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, trammels, probes).

  • Use hand and power tools, including air motors, reamers, and cold-work guns, to perform finishing duties on machined parts.

  • Operate ground-controlled handling equipment to load, unload, and move parts within the shop.

  • Perform rework as required, including filing, scraping, sanding, grinding, and hand finishing to meet gauge tolerances.

  • Locate points and holes from established reference lines or index points using prints, templates, and work orders.

  • Perform visual and functional checks on tools and accessories, making necessary adjustments and ensuring they are in good condition.

  • Access workload using online computer systems and assign work based on priority or Team Leader direction.

  • Review Work Order (W/O) to determine work requirements and ensure prior operations are complete.

  • Consult with supervisor/team lead and other sources (e.g., engineering, planning, inspection) to resolve problems.

  • Call for inspection or use SI&A as required throughout the process, including checking hole sizes and inspecting countersinks.

  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in an approved manner while maintaining personal and tool certifications, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

  • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.

As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) you will perform aviation-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States. Typical duties include:

  • Conducting air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities related to the interdiction of smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels.

Qualifications

Experience:You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized professional aviation experience performing duties such as:

  • Flying as a Pilot-in-Command or sole manipulator in an airplane and helicopter in all environments of flight, including night, poor weather, unfavorable terrain, low altitudes, or speed.
  • Evaluating information rapidly and making judicious decisions promptly during in-flight operations.

Certification & Ratings: A current FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with one of the following ratings:

These hours may be credited towards satisfying the ""Total flight time"" 1,500 flight hour requirement only. UAS hours do not count towards the 250 flight hours as a Pilot in Command, 75 flight hours Instrument, and 75 flight hours Night. Flight hour logbooks will be required at the time of your Flight Assessment for verification.

  • Perform safety checks on machines, ensuring the area is clear of obstacles, power switches are off, and safety guards are installed.

Basic Qualifications:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform electronic and software testing, diagnosis, troubleshooting, adjustment, repair, calibration, checkout, and maintenance of electronic systems and associated equipment, often developing and improvising service procedures as needed.

  • Operate and utilize test equipment, instruments, tools, and machines required to complete work assignments.
  • Interpret and work from block diagrams, schematic diagrams, prints, specifications, technical information, manufacturing records, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Perform design and fabrication work related to packaging developmental assemblies, including mechanical and assembly fabrication, with engineering assistance.
  • Maintain certifications, licenses, and permits necessary for work assignments.
  • Prepare reports, maintain records, and ensure accountability of contract tools and test equipment.
  • Devise and build temporary tools and work-around methods to facilitate troubleshooting and repair.
  • Handle and protect components and assemblies in accordance with shop practices, procedures, and drawing requirements.
