Job Title : Oceanography Category / Component: Officer • Both Overview Oceanography (OCEANO) Officers, also called METOC, are the Navy's geophysical experts who understand and apply all facets of meteorology, oceanography, hydrography, bathymetry, geophysics, and precise time and astrometry.
Their mission is to define and apply the physical environment, from the bottom of the ocean to the stars, to ensure the U.S.
Navy has the freedom of action to deter aggression, maintain freedom of the seas, and win wars.
Key Responsibilities Provide timely and relevant support to fleet and joint operations by leading the collection, processing, prediction, exploitation, and dissemination of environmental data.
Ensure safety of navigation, access to denied waters, freedom to maneuver at will, and increase the lethality of Navy forces.

Requires a Baccalaureate degree, preferably in a technical field, with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or greater.

A desired degree is in physics, physics-based oceanography, meteorology, hydrography, earth science, engineering, or mathematics.

Bars Changeover Specialist (Lean Manufacturing Changeover Specialist)
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Duration: 24+ Months
Position Overview:
- This role will focus on changeover improvements for the Chewy Bars platform. They will work with platform teams, floor teams, site FSQ and department management to understand (a) the size of the prize around changeovers and (b) opportunities to improve changeover time while maintaining effectiveness and safety. A successful individual in this role will use tools such as process mapping, value stream mapping, 5 whys, fishbones, and apply a learning mindset to identify opportunities outside of cleaning practices to reduce CO % on the system.
- When not in changeover, the changeover specialist will be working to learn more about our equipment, how we currently clean it, and why we use the process we currently use. They’ll also be identifying opportunities for improvement and developing experiments for actual changeover time. During changeovers, they’ll be working with the team on the floor to execute experiments, agree on success, and following up immediately with process changes (as is reasonable and feasible). As you can probably guess, this person will have a highly flexible schedule to enable this work.
Key Accountabilties:
- Changeover Reduction Ownership – identify opportunity in current changeovers to improve changeover practices, to include:
- Identify longest lead items
- Develop process standard to run
- Work with team leads to allocate resources more efficiently
- Develop pre-changeover prep strategy
- Teach and coach methodology to treat changeovers just like production, with scheduling, resource allocation, attention to issues, and overall urgency
- Develop best practice clearing for longest lead items

- Work with FSQ to develop risk rankings and reasons to clean each item
- Instill understanding of why we clean each item
- Work with the floor and platform teams to understand the minimum level of clean required, identify and eliminate overcleaning
- Create and/or revise standard task flows around changeover execution in different areas to enhance speed without sacrificing effectiveness or safety

- Develop ways to clean easier via changes in equipment, process, or tools used

Leverage an External Perspective
- Does another site with similar equipment clean better than us? Gather their best practices, but don’t remain limited to similar equipment! Explore other cleaning best practices.
- Think outside the box – how does your dentist clean your teeth? How does a carwash clean your vehicle? Ever watched a car detailing video on YouTube? What can we take from how cleaning is done elsewhere to implement safer, faster, and/or more effective cleaning HERE?
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering/Technical preferred) w/ minimum 5 years of related manufacturing experience OR HS Diploma w/ minimum 10 years of related manufacturing experience
- Working knowledge of data systems including manufacturing systems for Asset and storeroom management, Quality information tracking, ERP, and Safety and Environment management (*** systems used: MAXIMO, MQIS, INSQL, and GSTEMS).
Demonstrated capability in application of Foundational Systems and Driving system utilization.
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

Job Description
The Lean Manufacturing Changeover Specialist will own the identification, analysis, and execution of changeover improvement initiatives. You will leverage lean tools—such as process mapping, value stream mapping, root-cause analysis, fishbone diagrams, and structured experimentation—to uncover and eliminate inefficiencies.
When not directly supporting changeovers, you will investigate current cleaning practices, gain deep equipment knowledge, explore improvement opportunities, and design trials to validate enhancements. During active production changeovers, you will be on the floor partnering with operators and team leads to execute experiments, measure success, and implement approved process changes.

The Test Equipment Engineering Directorate (TEE) includes all engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on every Raytheon product. - Review the VPO Log at month end and give recommendations for changes to improve future variances.
- Submit Variance Report to the Purchasing Manager by the 25th of the month for all homes closed in the previous month.
- Process Exception Reports within 3 to 5 hours of receipt from Accounting (submit to Construction by 12PM and to Accounting by 1:30PM).
Hard Costs
- Complete all hard cost updates by the assigned deadline.
- Bid lumber by the assigned deadline.
- Run and review Hard Cost Report (following Hard Cost Process exactly).
- Run and review Option Price Updates (following Option Price Update Process exactly) and turn into Purchasing Manager 3 days prior to option price deadline.
- Enforce vendor increase policies.
Custom Options
- Track custom option requests and status on Custom Option Tracker.
- Estimate custom options (ensure all estimates are completed within 3 days of the request or within 5 days for structural requests that require a drawing).
- Responsible for the accuracy of all custom option estimates for Sales.
House Release
- Follow House Release process exactly to ensure correct variance reporting.
- Provide detailed Load Budget Request Sheet to Accounting with proper expectations when asking for budgets to be loaded.
Cost Cuts
- Strive to achieve cost cut goals each quarter through negotiating and value engineering.
- Record progress on Cost Cut Tracker.
Vendor Paperwork
- Update Vendor Paperwork Tracker every Thursday.
- Record date of the most recently signed Schedule A for all vendors.
Rebates
- Ensure that Hakes Brothers is submitting and collecting on all rebate programs on a quarterly basis by the 10th of the month.
Builder of Choice
- Help Hakes Brothers become the Builder of Choice for our trade contractors. Manage trade contractors and supplier relationships so they can accomplish their jobs effectively and efficiently. Work with trade contractors to create value for them, as well as for Hakes Brothers. EHS Manager (Rio Rancho)
The EHS Manager will lead Environmental, Health, and Safety efforts for Castelion’s Rio Rancho, New Mexico facility, supporting solid rocket motor manufacturing, integration, and test operations. This role is responsible for building and managing site EHS programs to ensure safe operations and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced, high-hazard manufacturing environment.
The EHS Manager will play a key role in facility startup, commissioning, and ramp to production, partnering closely with operations, engineering, and leadership to embed safety and environmental stewardship across development and manufacturing. The ideal candidate brings experience in process safety, hazard analysis, and regulatory compliance in aerospace, manufacturing, energetics, or other high-consequence environments, and will also provide periodic EHS support to Castelion’s Midland, Texas test facility.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the EHS leader for the Rio Rancho facility, responsible for developing and managing site EHS programs, systems, and policies to ensure safe operations and regulatory compliance.
- Lead EHS planning and execution during facility startup, commissioning, and ramp to production, partnering with operations and engineering to integrate safety and environmental requirements into processes, equipment, and daily operations.
- Develop and maintain process safety and risk management programs, including hazard analyses (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA) and risk assessments to identify and mitigate operational hazards.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ATF, NFPA, and applicable state and local regulations, including oversight of environmental programs such as hazardous waste, air emissions, stormwater management, and regulatory reporting.
- Implement and continuously improve safety programs through audits, inspections, training, and safety initiatives that strengthen operational discipline and safety culture.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis for safety or environmental events, implementing corrective and preventive actions and maintaining site emergency response plans and preparedness.
- Provide periodic EHS support to Castelion’s Midland, Texas facility, including audits, incident support, and program development as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience supporting EHS and process safety programs in manufacturing, test, or other high-hazard operational environments.
- Experience implementing process safety management and hazard analysis techniques (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA).
- Strong working knowledge ofOSHA, EPA, ATF, NFPA, and applicable state and local regulations.
- Experience leading incident investigations and corrective action programs.
- Hands-on experience developing and implementing EHS programs in manufacturing or test environments.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel periodically to support Midland, Texas operations.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Professional certification such as CSP, CIH, or similar.
- Experience supporting solid rocket motor manufacturing, propulsion systems, energetics, or explosive/high-energy material operations.
- Experience supporting facility startup, commissioning, or greenfield manufacturing site development.
