• Manage projects, plans, provide and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary engineering Commissioning role for large facility projects.
  
• The commissioning experts adhere to a thorough quality management/QC process and procedures.
  
• Participate in daily commissioning activity meetings which services include: Equipment pre-start-up and start-up procedures; Development of standard operating procedures (SOP's) and Methods of Procedures (MOPs); Comprehensive Commissioning documentation.
  
• Prepare commissioning test procedures and reports; Develop and maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklist, and other tools to track commissioning projects; Write comprehensive reports which include the following sections: recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, list of deficiencies, equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
  
• Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning.

TITLE: Project Manager, Construction II

POSITION SUMMMARY:

As Project Manager, Construction II you will be responsible for providing leadership and driving success of multiple facets of data center projects. The position covers all aspects of construction. Areas of expertise require autonomy and independent discretion in the following areas:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• RFP development and budgeting
  
• Pre-bid oversight and coordination
  
• Managing all design phases and documents
  
• Conduct project meetings, publish, and distribute minutes, develop milestones, and maintain monthly reports.
  
• Manage day-to-day office and field operations.
  
• Review the plans and specifications for constructability and construction schedules. Advise the project team of any issues or deficiencies.
  
• Prepare, manage, and update the detailed project schedule with sequence and activity duration including procurement items.
  
• Customer engagement for sales and fulfillment of requirements
  
• Coordination and supervision of design-build contractors
  
• Coordination with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts

• Understand project budget/estimate and budget set-up.
  
• Develop and understand trade contractor and supplier contract scopes, with a constant focus on procurement and lead-time of materials to maintain schedule.
  
• Develop, document, and drive lessons learned, process improvements, cost, and schedule savings initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Work closely with the proposal team to coordinate design criteria with budgetary issues and ongoing maintenance and operation of existing facilities.
  
• Awareness of the importance of mission-critical facility operation
  
• Safety standards knowledge and enforcement. (OSHA 30 Hour preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience (Desired):

• 5-7 years of experience in managing construction projects required
  
• Datacenter experience is preferred
  
• Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management is a requirement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all cost management activities, ensuring that the project remains within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

This position requires the candidate to be on-site throughout the week, performing functions such as walking the field to verify work completion. Please live in or around the Abilene, TX area, or relocation costs can be navigated for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to Project Teams throughout the project lifecycle from pre-construction to closeout.
• Produce accurate project-level reports that provide detailed analysis of project cost, program estimates, program master planning, operations, and benchmarking.
• Develop and maintain project budgets from design concept through project completion.
• Assist with the change order management process, including estimating, negotiating, and tracking total project costs.
• Reconcile program and project controls data with the client’s fiscal and financial control systems.
• Manage payment applications and invoice management for the project.
• Develop and present key cost data to internal and external stakeholders and team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, OR a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cost management, preferably within the construction, oil/gas, or data center industries.
• Strong knowledge of cost management principles, estimating, financial analysis, and budgeting.
• Ability to read and understand design information.
• Proven ability to engage positively with client stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and internal team members.
• Working knowledge of cost and/or resource load schedules/schedule of values.
• Experience with contract negotiation.
• Proficiency in cost management software and Google Suite.
• Experience with Quickbase and e-Builder is a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• PMP or CCM certification is a plus.
