Ace Green Recycling is looking to make Silsbee the zero Scope 1 emissions lead battery recycling capital of the world. We are building the first facility in the United States to show we can make lead recycling sustainable and safe, using one of the world’s most advanced battery recycling technologies. Our 365,000 sq. ft. brownfield facility in Silsbee, Texas, is a first-of-its-kind site that will set the standard for our expansion across North America. Unlike traditional recyclers, our proprietary technology stack eliminates furnaces and emits zero Scope 1 emissions

The Opportunity 

As the Plant Manager, you aren't just managing a factory; you are commissioning a new era of manufacturing. You will have full autonomy over the site, from building the leadership team to ensuring the facility hits its ambitious goal of 98%+ uptime


This is a "whiteboard" opportunity. With all-new equipment currently being manufactured and a massive site to prep, you will set the culture, choose your staff, and implement the systems that define our legacy. Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership & Site Startup: 

  • Build the Organization: Recruit and lead the site leadership team, including Maintenance, Production, EHS, and Finance. 
  • Culture Catalyst: Establish a culture of "Y = ƒ(x)" where results are a function of inputs, and execution is the highest priority. 
  • Commissioning & Launch: Oversee the transition from a brownfield site to a fully operational 24/7/365 powerhouse, ensuring all proprietary equipment is installed and optimized. 
  • Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary face of Ace Green Recycling in Silsbee, managing relationships with the Mayor, City Manager, Fire Chief, and Chamber of Commerce. 


Operational Excellence: 

  • P&L Ownership: Manage the total site budget, driving cost-efficiency while scaling production. 
  • Performance Standards: Drive the site toward 98%+ uptime through close collaboration with the Maintenance & Reliability team. 
  • Safety & Hygiene: Champion our core values. Lead-acid recycling requires the highest standards of industrial hygiene and OSHA compliance; you will ensure these are non-negotiable pillars of daily work. 


Technical & Process Oversight: 

  • Ensure the proprietary technology stack is operating at peak efficiency without environmental deviation. 
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making (via CMMS and SCADA systems) to drive enterprise-wide performance.

Qualifications & Requirements 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering  (mechanical, clectrical, or chemical) or business management is required. 
  • A master's degree or MBA is highly preferred. 


Experience: 

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in a heavy industrial or chemical processing environment. 
  • Direct Startup Experience: Proven track record of leading a "greenfield" or "brownfield" startup to full operational capacity. 
  • 24/7/365 Expertise: Mandatory experience managing high-intensity, round-the-clock operations.

Summary/Objective

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s programs and activities in accordance with guidelines issued by the governing board
  • Assist department directors in the development, use, and implementation of departmental policies and procedures and professional standards of practice
  • Ensure that all employees, residents, visitors, and the general public follow the facility’s established policies and procedures
  • Conduct daily meetings with appropriate staff, engage in regular facility inspections, and discuss survey findings and formulation of plans of action/correction as needed
  • Assist in developing plans of correction for cited deficiencies and ensure such plans incorporate timetables and methods of monitoring so that such deficiencies do not recur
  • Review and check competence of workforce and make necessary adjustments/corrections as required
  • Assist in recruitment and selection of competent department directors, supervisors, facility licensed and non-licensed staff, consultants, etc.

  • Ensure that providers are in compliance with facility policies governing credentialing, admissions, medical treatment, visit requirements, plans of care, orders, etc.

  • Ensure that all facility personnel, residents, and visitors follow established safety regulations, including fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc.
  • Review and investigate accidents/incidents and ensure that risk management reports are effectively created (e.g., falls, injuries, or an unknown source, abuse, etc.)
  • Monitor to determine the effectiveness of the facility’s risk management program
  • Ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained to perform such duties/services
  • Review and interpret monthly financial statements and provide such information to the governing board
  • Participate in creating facility budgets as it pertains to census goals, rate management, labor management, and expenses control
  • Establish process and procedures that ensure facility achieves the all budgets and goals
  • In collaboration with A/R support, ensure collections are timely and in its entirety by developing and implementing collections policies and procedures
  • Report suspected or known incidents of fraud relative to false billings, filing of false cost reports, receipt/payment of kickbacks etc., and any other illegal activity to the governing board and ensure reporting is made to appropriate agencies
  • Ensure that the resident rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to raise complaints, are well established and maintained at all times
