Program Summary
Natchaug Hospital's Northeast Treatment Center in Danielson, CT is conveniently located to both northwestern Rhode Island and south central Massachusetts. Natchaug's Joshua Center Programs treat children as young as six and as old as 17 who are struggling with psychiatric or substance abuse issues, but do not require inpatient care. Services Include: Comprehensive assessment, which may include: Comprehensive aftercare planning, family, group, and individual therapy, occupational and creative rehabilitation therapy. Natchaug Hospital provides transportation from school to the Joshua Center Program, and then to the student's home.
Job Summary
Lead Behavioral Health Clinician works in coordination with interdisciplinary teams to organize, prepare, and deliver evidence based clinical services in the Child/Adolescent outpatient partial hospitalization program (PHP). Clinical services include individual, group and family therapy. Maintains ethical principles and professional standards of practice in adherence to the discipline's professional code of ethics. Assumes leadership responsibilities as assigned by clinical leadership. May assume clinical oversight of daily operations in the absence of Program Manager.
Key responsibilities of Lead Behavioral Health Clinician:
- Conducts a comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment and establishes a care plan, as appropriate.
- Provides direct patient care that may include case management, care coordination, interdisciplinary collaboration for care transition needs, crisis intervention/safety planning, counseling, and emotional support to patients and families coping with illness, trauma, or end -of-life care, referral and discharge planning.
- Refers patient to appropriate levels of care and available resources that promote the individualized care plan.
- Assists in the coordination of programming which may include staff scheduling, scheduling clinical activities, program development, utilization review, case load assignment, and attending meetings as directed by manager.
- May assist in the hiring process for new staff, supporting expansion of initiatives, supporting clinician productivity, leading team meetings, conducting staff education and training.
- Independently able to provide clinical social work interventions to all patient populations.
- Provide social work field supervision to second year social work students.
***Lead Behavioral Health Clinicians are eligible for a Sign On Bonus up to $2,500.00, in accordance with program guidelines***
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy or related Human Service field required.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a licensed Clinician working with behavioral health and/or chemical dependency population.
- Experience in leading clinical care teams preferred.
- Current Connecticut license; LCSW.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish relationships within and outside their entity.

- Current Connecticut LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A, or CADC
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish relationships within and outside their entity

We are seeking Professional, High Energy Scribes/Medical Assistants to help us provide excellent quality of care to our patients.
Company description: Aspire Dermatology, with twelve conveniently located offices throughout Rhode Island, is a highly professional provider of a full range of dermatology services from skin screenings and cosmetic procedures to Mohs surgery. The Scribe/Medical Assistant is a multi-functional role, providing clinical and other administrative duties to ensure excellent quality of care to patients while reporting to the Office Supervisor.
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours, Monday -- Friday 8:00 am -- 5:00 pm (or similar hours, must be flexible)
Pay rate range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on education, certifications, and experience.
Responsibilities of the Scribe/Medical Assistant:
- Assist with daily task such as verifying patient information, recording medical history, confirming purpose of visit utilizing an iPad, data entry into EMR during patient visits, answering phones, confirming insurance information, scheduling appointments, etc.
- Assist with preparing patient for exams and procedures, preparing equipment & instruments by using proper sterilization techniques, and providing education to patients on pre- and post-operative care instructions
- Cleaning and sanitizing rooms, equipment and instruments as needed
- Maintaining inventory and supplies for clinical areas
- Answer triage and routine phone calls from patients, pharmacies and referring providers
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Understanding demographics, insurance verification, prior authorization & referrals, collecting deductibles, co-pays & co-insurance, balancing cash drawer and reconcile end of day
- Entering lab results, calling patients, and answering patient calls regarding medications prior authorizations and lab results using EMR software
- Must be able to apply skills interchangeably to all areas of medical practice and be able to work with various computer programs effectively and efficiently, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, and Firefox/Chrome
- Must be commutable to all Aspire offices as needed, and participate in a minimum of a four office rotation.
Qualifications of the Scribe/Medical Assistant:
- Graduate of Medical Assisting Program, Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA) OR: 1 years' experience as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology/Anatomy preferred
- CPT/ICD 10 coding
- Influenza vaccination is mandatory
- Strong computer and customer service skills
- Ability to type 40 WPM while remaining proficient in spelling and grammar as a typing test will be given
- Reliable transportation is a must
- Attention to detail and ability to utilize skills interchangeably to all areas of medical practice
- Ability to understand and apply policies, procedures and protocols
- Ability to interact with patients, providers, supervisors and peers in a professional manner
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
