We're Roots Logistics — a Chicago-based freight brokerage and 3PL with offices in Miami and Colombia. We move freight for some of the country's most demanding shippers, including a USPS-managed carrier account. We're growing fast, and we need someone to join the Carrier Sales engine that powers it all.

CARRIER SALES REPRESENTATIVE – CHICAGO

COMPENSATION THAT REWARDS PERFORMANCE:

• Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (annual salary - paid weekly)
• Monthly Bonus Potential: $2,500 for top performers (eligible after 90 days)
• Total Earning Potential: $80,000 first year

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

DOMINATE THE MARKET

• Hunt down and lock in the best carriers before the competition knows they're available
• Build a network of carrier relationships that becomes your competitive moat
• Negotiate rates that make customers happy and margins healthy

ORCHESTRATE FREIGHT MOVEMENT LIKE A CONDUCTOR

• Match freight with carriers using precision timing and strategic thinking
• Monitor every shipment like it's the only one that matters
• Solve problems in real-time with creativity and urgency

LEAD THE CHARGE

• Set the energy level for the team with your intensity and drive
• Collaborate with sales and operations to crush customer expectations
• Maintain flawless records in our TMS/CRM—details matter when deals move this fast

DRIVE RESULTS

• Track your performance metrics like a scoreboard and constantly raise the bar
• Turn service issues into opportunities to prove your problem-solving prowess

WHAT YOU BRING:

REQUIRED:

• 3-5 years of proven success in Carrier Sales (battle-tested talent only). This you? BOLO - you may receive an invitation to apply!
• Elite negotiation skills—you create win-win deals at lightning speed
• Killer communication abilities—you sell, persuade, and build trust over the phone
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
• Deep knowledge of freight markets, carrier networks, and what makes this industry tick
• High energy, competitive drive, and an insatiable appetite for success

PREFERRED:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent business-smart experience that taught you how to WIN!)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (annual salary - paid weekly)
• Monthly Bonus Potential: $2,500 for top performers (eligible after 90 days)
