- Maintain all transportation credentials and registrations (USDOT, UCR, CA Number, PHMSA, HMSP, CARB Clean Truck Check, CHP HMTL)
- Manage hazmat compliance per 49 CFR and CA Title 13 CCR
- Ensure cargo tank inspection and testing compliance (49 CFR Part 180, CARB)
- Oversee HOS/ELD, DVIR, BIT inspections, driver qualification files, D&A programs, EPN, and incident reporting
- Conduct internal audits of terminals, drivers, vehicles, and shipping documents; lead corrective actions
- Track and report compliance KPIs
- Serve as primary liaison with FMCSA, CHP, CARB, DTSC, OSHA, and CUPA

The Position
We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Transportation Litigation Attorney to work on our firm's representation of a large international logistics services provider. The ideal candidate will have a strong background handling litigation matters, specifically within the transportation sector and understand any applicable underlying regulations. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging cases and be at the forefront of litigating emerging legal issues, with talented colleagues throughout the country, and provide sound counsel to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage a litigation caseload, helping oversee cases from beginning to end
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to transportation laws, regulations, and legal standards
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients, demonstrating strong advocacy and negotiation skills.

What Youβll Do:
You will drive our rental vehicles between locations, including to and from rental sites, maintenance facilities, and other lots as directed by management. By transporting vehicles safely and efficiently, you play an important role in ensuring cars are available, ready, and in the right place for our customers when they need them. You will follow established safety procedures and driving standards at all times.
As a Pick Your Shift employee, youβll begin with a scheduled, paid onboarding session where youβll meet the team and get introduced to Avis Budget Group. Class A CDL - Refined Fuel Driver - Emporia, KS
Estimated Annual: $88,000-$96,000/year
Pay: $27.00-$29.50/hour
We are currently seeking a Fuel Transport Driver with an excellent driving record. Experience in the petroleum industry is preferred but not required. The right candidate will have a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and a minimum of 1 year's tractor/trailer driving experience. Our drivers enjoy the generous compensation and the excellent benefits package we offer, which are detailed below. Based on schedule and performance, drivers may be eligible to receive the below pay differentials:
- Night Shift Pay = $1.00/hour
- Weekend Pay (both Saturday and Sunday schedule) = $1.50/hour
In addition to pay differentials, drivers will receive the following compensation:
- Time-and-a-half pay for all hours over 40 in a workweek
- Safety Enhancement Pay (for qualifying drivers) = $1.00/hour
- Driver Trainer Pay (for qualifying drivers) = $25/day up to $500 + bonuses for successful post-training observations
- $10 meal coupon per shift redeemable at all company locations
