SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The R&D Testing Technician will execute daily engineering test assigned by Engineering Manager. The candidate will perform various acoustical, mechanical, and electrical tests. The candidate will support the engineers in their ongoing R&D testing to achieve their task on time. The candidate should be well organized, has strong attention to details and able to work in fast paced environment
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform engineering tests including and not limited to: Acoustical testing, mechanical testing and electrical testing
- Documenting and archiving test results and test procedures
- Work with various mechanical tools and fixtures to conduct tests
- Work with electronic test equipment
- Manage the engineering lab, make sure tools and equipment are arranged in the right spot and perform 5S to the labs
- Manage engineering samples with proper labels and arrange them in cabinet
- Support engineers in new developed test procedures by documenting the test procedures
- Support engineers in shipping samples out to customers, purchase experimental parts from website
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree in engineering, Electronics, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to set up and utilize electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and run LabVIEW code
- Ability to work with various fixtures and tools to conduct various testing
- Able to multi-task and work fast paced environment to meet deadlines

What You’ll Do
You will support hands-on testing of structural and high-temperature materials critical to reactor performance.
Mechanical Property Testing

Thermophysical Property Testing
- Thermal conductivity testing (Laser Flash Analysis – LFA)
- Coefficient of thermal expansion (Dilatometry – DIL)
Lab Operations
- Operate and maintain Instron and other high-value testing equipment
- Perform precision sample preparation and measurements
- Follow detailed lab procedures and safety protocols
- Ensure high data quality and documentation standards
- Support fast test turnaround while maintaining rigor
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering discipline
- OR
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a materials testing laboratory
- Experience running mechanical test equipment (e.g., Instron or equivalent)
- Comfort working with high-value, sensitive lab instrumentation
- Strong attention to detail in measurements and documentation
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hardware environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience conducting both mechanical and thermophysical testing

Responsible for the verification testing, diagnosing and repairing of electronic circuit board assemblies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Diagnose and repair to basic powered functional test failures (power, traffic, network issues) to a component level on electronic circuit board assemblies while maintaining minimal quantities of Engineering and Component hold assemblies.
· Exhibit proficiency in the use of electronic test and measurement equipment.
· Understand and utilize assembly documentation such as but not limited to the following; Schematics, BOM’s, EC documents, Visuals, Debug, Testing tools and procedures.
· Assist Test Engineering department in an ongoing data evaluation program for improving the efficiency of the diagnosis of assemblies.
· Understand, recognize and execute Jabil production requirements, rules, policies and procedures.
· Work as a team member to achieve Diagnostic department’s process yield goals.
· Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
· Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

The General Manager (GM) –Battery Testing is responsible for the full P&L, operational leadership, commercial growth, and regulatory compliance of a mobility-focused TIC laboratory. The lab supports automotive, EV, aerospace, rail, and advanced mobility customers with testing, inspection, and certification services.
The GM ensures technical excellence, regulatory compliance (ISO/IEC 17025 and applicable mobility standards), strong client relationships, and profitable growth while maintaining a culture of safety, quality, and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. P&L & Business Leadership
- Own full profit and loss responsibility for the mobility laboratory.
- Develop and execute annual operating plans, budgets, and growth strategies.
