Role Summary
The Director of Manufacturing Engineering has oversight of the teams that maintain processing equipment in Alaska shoreplants and vessels, including Baader machines, electrical systems, and conveyance systems. This role manages three primary plants—Seattle, Tacoma (approximately 30 miles from Seattle), and Alaska locations as needed—and serves as the technical and operational leader for engineering performance, equipment reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.
Capital Projects Planning & Execution
- Identifies capital project needs and prepares assessments on resource needs and capital requirements
- Creates business cases to support projects that include ROI, gap analysis, and risk assessment
- Works closely with the Capital Projects team to develop implementation plans
- Participates in cross-functional teams as a technical expert to support implementation of large-scale capital projects
Equipment Management
- Develops and oversees the maintenance and preventative maintenance programs
- Works with production teams to ensure maintenance schedules support production needs
- Establishes, prepares, and maintains policies and procedures related to maintenance of equipment
- Develops, implements, and oversees key metrics that drive productivity, including but not limited to:
- Consistent fish sizing
- Machine yield
- Down-time reduction

Team Management

This individual will manage and lead a team of talented engineers responsible for ensuring state-of-the-art development, application and transition of tools, methods and technologies across Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), applied aerodynamics, aero-acoustics and flow control addressing strategic capability needs from Boeing Commercial and Defense business units. The successful candidate will develop and maintain an expert, diverse team that supports Boeing’s one-company culture by collaborating with business units and functional partners.
Position Responsibilities:
- Sets strategic direction, growing and managing a portfolio comprised of internal and external research & development and business unit support.

Qualifications

Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity exists at Raytheon for a Semiconductor Dry Etch Engineering Lead to join our III-V compound semiconductor foundry team fabricating gallium nitride and gallium arsenide-based devices within the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) Department. This role requires a broad understanding of microelectronics processing and subject matter expertise in one or more dry etch related techniques including plasma ashing/descum, reactive ion etching (RIE), and inductively coupled etching (ICP).
As a member of the AMS Department, the individual in this role will serve as the dry etch processes lead engineer and collaborate with the various engineering work centers in the III-V semiconductor wafer foundry. The candidate will lead and assist projects in process sustainment, capital allocation, directing process and capital qualifications, improving cycle time, improving product yield, developing new data driven controls, and driving overall wafer movement efficiency.
The chosen candidate is expected to be an innovative and creative thinker capable of probing issues and reaching solutions both independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of various microelectronics processing techniques beyond deposition, including wet and dry etching, lift-off techniques, photolithography, metrology, process characterization, foundry data integrity, and large data analysis methods.
The candidate is expected to work well in large and small, cross-functional teams, understand foundry processes, determine capacity limitations, improve overall equipment effectiveness, identify yield improvement opportunities, gather sponsorship and team resources, and execute on continuous improvement activities. Presence on the foundry floor is essential for quick resolution of technical issues as well as the ability to work with operations, facilities, equipment, and quality teams. Raytheon Technologies (RTX) is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer with well-rounded Linux Infrastructure Engineering expertise to join an agile product team. provisioning of platform, storage, and networking resources for existing on-premises infrastructure that ideally also has experience in emerging DevOps/DevSecOps & Modernized technologies. The Principal Platform Engineer would be engaged in the design and implementation of the system updates and upgrades with Focus on the Linux Server / Linux OS expertise and will support Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) and provide project status as required.
The Principal Platform Engineer would be involved with development, implementation of traditional compute/network/storage systems and related deployments, as well as support improving the program platform’s over-arching design through new emerging technologies. Note This position will be filled onsite at an RTX Facility in Richardson TX.

Salary range:
The UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay at appointment. See the following table for the current salary scale for this position: . The current full-time salary range for this position is $75,301 - $199,722. Starting salary will be commensurate with highest degree, past college-level teaching experience, relevant industry experience and equity within the department.

Position description
The Department of Nuclear Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley is generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach regular and Summer Session courses, should an opening arise. In addition to classroom/laboratory teaching and preparation, general duties may include (but are not limited to) managing and mentoring graders and/or graduate student instructors (teaching assistants), holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), and maintaining a course website.
We are also seeking applicants for hourly Teacher Special Programs (TSP), should an opening arise. The TSP instructor's principal responsibility will be overseeing capstone projects in the Master of Engineering (MEng) program of the Nuclear Engineering Department. This will include the following tasks: Designing and proposing capstone projects. Helping match students into suitable projects. Meeting with each capstone project team on a regular basis to review results, manage interpersonal aspects, and maintain efficient progress. Provide critical, constructive feedback on students' written reports and oral presentations. Coordinating and participating in the MS Plan II exam of each student at the end of the capstone project period.

Job Summary
The School of Aerospace Engineering ( ) at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions.
