An established, reputable Dallas full-service law firm offering a great culture, salary and benefits is looking to bring on an experienced Associate Attorney for their Commercial Litigation Section. This candidate will work closely with one of the named partners.
The ideal candidate will have 4-5 solid years of litigation experience on the defense side in both state and federal court. This individual will help maintain and build client relationships by working side by side with a named partner on commercial litigation matters.
The ideal Candidate will have experience in conducting discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting depositions and conducting legal research.
Qualifications:
ยท Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
ยท Prior litigation experience and stable work history
ยท Experience in analyzing, reviewing, editing, and drafting legal documents
ยท Superior logical reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical skills
ยท Experience conducting and defending depositions
ยท Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
ยท Ability to work with, and meet the expectations of, clients who demand excellence
ยท JD from accredited law school and licensed to practice in Texas
ยท 4- 5 years experience
Responsibilities:
ยท Assist and collaborate with attorneys and partners on litigation matters
ยท Manage some projects and cases from start to finish
ยท Conduct and defend depositions, prepare and respond to discovery, and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
ยท Legal research and analysis
ยท Attend hearings, mediations, trial, and arbitration
