Lead Installer and Trainer

Location: On-Site | Phoenix, AZ

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, daytime hours. Schedule may adjust based on installation demands and travel requirements. Flexibility for extended workdays during major installation projects.

Travel Requirements: Travel throughout the greater Phoenix area and across Arizona as project demands require.Occasional out-of-state travel possible.


An established and growing provider of residential vertical lift systems is seeking a Lead Installer and Trainer to support expanding operations in the greater Phoenix area. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced installer who is passionate about delivering safe, precise installations while developing future field leaders.


This position offers the opportunity to influence installation standards across Arizona while mentoring apprentices and strengthening field operations. The right candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership presence, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on every project.


Key Responsibilities

Installation Oversight

  • Execute and oversee complete residential elevator installations from equipment staging to final commissioning.
  • Install guide rails, drive assemblies, hydraulic systems, cab structures, door systems, and electrical components.
  • Conduct final system verification and ensure readiness for customer turnover.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environments.

Training and Team Development

  • Provide hands-on training to apprentice installers and junior technicians.
  • Teach proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and code compliance standards.
  • Support long-term development of team members into independent crew leads.

Safety and Regulatory Adherence

  • Ensure all work complies with applicable state, local, and national safety standards.
  • Address jobsite hazards proactively.
  • Maintain documentation required for inspections and compliance.

Technical Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues involving motors, switches, control systems, and safety mechanisms.
  • Perform follow-up service work tied to completed installations when required.
  • Document service activity and corrective actions clearly and accurately.

Field Coordination

  • Communicate effectively with contractors, homeowners, project coordinators, and leadership teams.
  • Provide timely updates on installation progress and jobsite needs.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years or approximately 6,000 hours of residential elevator installation experience.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Proven ability to mentor and lead junior team members.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in multi-story construction environments.
  • Successful completion of background and drug screening.

Primary Purpose of Position

Job Summary

Conduct Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) programs under the standards of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). The CPE Certified Educator programs under the standards of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). Three main functions of the CPE Certified Educator are maintaining accreditation and standards of the ACPE, education and supervision of CPE students and supporting an interdisciplinary approach to the provision of spiritual care.

Our accreditation standards are held by reviewing, updating, and developing CPE program policies per Sanford Health, updating student handbooks, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all Center Accreditation materials, preparing for ACPE accreditation reviews along with facilitating CPE Professional Advisory Group meetings to inform members of educational activities and receiving suggestions for maintaining standards of excellence in the program.

The CPE Certified Educator will educate and supervise the CPE students. This position will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and selecting candidates for CPE internships and supervisory education in accordance with the admission requirements along with providing direct clinical supervision of students including the development of student-centered learning curriculum. Mentorship and educating students in the certified educator candidate program will be required along with the coordination of student spiritual support with staff chaplains by managing the student's self-directed learning in group settings. The CPE Certified Educator will also facilitate student orientation and training according to Sanford Health, Spiritual Care Department and ACPE.

While focusing on accreditation and education, the CPE Certified Educator will provide feedback and recognition along with timely and preemptive corrective intervention as needed. The CPE Certified Educator will be required to participate in various team meetings, interdisciplinary team rounds, and participates in professional leadership development; including areas related to chaplaincy and CPE professional organizations along with initiating own professional continued education while maintaining certification within ACPE.

Qualifications

Master’s level theological degree from an accredited seminary.

Must have a theological, spiritual and psychological understanding of spiritual and human dynamics; meaning making, and existential distress, and knowledge of rituals. One to two years of experience providing spiritual care in an acute care or health care setting is required.

Certified Educator certification required. National faculty preferred. Must maintain certification as a CPE Educator with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.

Ordination, endorsement or commissioned by faith tradition/denomination/church authority. Board Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains or certification eligible required; must obtain certification within two years of hire.

The Opportunity

General Duties

Salary range:
The compensation model varies depending upon the course delivery format. For a synchronous Live Online course, a reasonable estimate for this position is $1,425 - $5,700 total per course. For an asynchronous Fixed Date Online course, this position is paid $170 - $180 per enrolled student and a reasonable estimate ranges from $1,020 - $7,200 total per course. For an asynchronous Start Anytime Online course, this position is paid $170 - $180 per final student course grade submitted each month; a reasonable estimate ranges from $2,720 - $18,000 total per course; and monthly payments typically begin within 6 months after the course start date. Instructor compensation is determined by course length, number of units, enrollment, budgetary considerations, and other factors.

UC Berkeley Extension (UNEX), the continuing education branch of the University of California, Berkeley, has been building bridges between UC Berkeley and the public since 1891. UNEX serves the professional and continuing education goals of thousands of people each year and plays an essential part of the University mission to: extend the research and scholarship of UC Berkeley to a global community; increase access to higher education for non-traditional, online, and international students; and improve the workforce. General Duties

The department seeks candidates who can support the success of all students through inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy. Specific duties and expectations will vary depending on the method of instruction including: Synchronous Live Online (Zoom) or Asynchronous Online (Fixed Date or Start Anytime).




  • For synchronous instruction (live online courses), duties include but are not limited to: syllabus development; assignment development; lesson planning for class meetings; preparing and submitting required texts and course materials; reviewing and updating Canvas course site; and delivering lectures, presentations, and learning activities for all required hours of instruction.
  • For asynchronous instruction (fixed date or start anytime online courses), duties include but are not limited to: reviewing the syllabus and pre-populated online course content; learning and utilizing Canvas classroom management tools; and requesting any training needs from the Program Director or Department Director.
  • For all instruction (regardless of course format) duties include but are not limited to: completing required trainings as mandated by the UC Presidential policies; responding to student questions and learning needs in a timely manner; grading student assignments and posting final student grades to the instructor portal in a timely manner; utilizing University-approved course support platforms including the Canvas Learning Management System, Zoom, Instructor Portal, Google Workspace, etc.; reviewing and following University and departmental policies, logistics, and other guidelines as published on the departmental Instructional Resource Site; and responding to other requests from the Program Director or Department Director in a timely manner.
