- Convey the mission of the hospital and organization to pharmacy staff, holding them accountable for performance, while motivating them to enhance and develop their capabilities.
- Oversee the pharmacy department's operations, including scheduling, continuous assessment, and the implementation of process improvements to optimize department performance.
- Provide direct patient and pharmaceutical care.

Qualifications
- Licensed in good standing by the State Pharmacy Board for the state where the hospital is located.

Job Description:The Acute Care Pharmacist is responsible for performing all duties associated with interpretation, order verification, dispensing and monitoring of medications ordered by prescribers; the evaluation and dissemination of comprehensive information about medications and their use, to patients, families, and medical staff; and providing quality pharmaceutical care to make a healthy difference in people’s lives. Position Details: The clinical specialist will join an on-site faculty member to provide direct patient care in the Parkview Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

This collaboration is now enhancing to bring neurosurgery, rheumatology, and drug-resistant epilepsy consultation services with telehealth clinics with world-class providers.
As part of an established pediatric pharmacy program, this specialist will benefit from close relationships with physicians and other care providers in both the inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings.
Parkview Health has provided specialty pharmacy services in pediatrics for over 25 years and are continually being asked to expand into additional responsibilities.
This role will have a targeted role in the level III neonatal intensive care unit with additional coverage of other pediatrics areas for weekend pediatrics coverage.
The role is a full-time, 1.0 FTE in the NICU with every 4th weekend for pediatric staffing to provide advanced and uninterrupted levels of care to this patient population .
