The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 (Mid-level) to focus on system architecture, requirements, and interfaces primarily for the P-8 program. This position reports to the P-8 Systems Engineering group and will be 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA.
The P-8 is a high-visibility, advanced commercial derivative military aircraft program supporting the U.S. Navy and international customers. As a Systems Engineer 3, you will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. You will evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
Position Responsibilities:
* Understand the P-8 architecture and interfaces, including assessing impacts of change requests and additions.
* Update Interface Control Documents (ICDs) at configuration change points.
* Update architecture block diagrams and box-level interfaces.
* Coordinate with other engineering IPTs (wiring, cabinets, interiors, etc.) to understand and document pin-to-pin connection requirements.
* Collaborate with design teams, Navy customers, hardware, and software teams to develop and integrate future upgrades.
* Develop and monitor requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.
* Resolve cross-functional technical issues.
* Assist with internal research and development (IRAD) projects as needed.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A Secret clearance is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Didactic Instruction
- May be assigned responsibility to participate in the formal didactic program involving presentation of lecture material and giving case conference to residents or students on a recurring basis.
Shall provide special quality assurance studies, no more than four per year, and participate in peer review activities, as directed by the Radiology Medical Director, Radiology Flight Commander or designated Government personnel.
Qualifications Must be a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) who has completed an internship and residency in an accredited United States Diagnostic Radiology Training Program.
Must have and maintain a valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine from one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
Must be board certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR).
Additional fellowship training, such as in neuroradiology, abdominal imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, cardiothoracic imaging, or similar is desirable but not required.

As a Technical Lead Engineer (TLE) for sensor subsystems (e.g., electro-optical/infrared, electronic warfare, magnetic, radar, signals intelligence, surveillance/identification), you will ensure that equipment is installed correctly, safe to operate, and performs properly during final product functional testing. You will oversee the subsystem lifecycle from design requirements and specifications through supplier technical management, hardware/software integration, systems testing, lab and aircraft integration, flight testing, certification support, and safe-to-fly determinations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead development and documentation of complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
- Translate requirements into system architecture, hardware/software designs, and interface specifications.

Summary pay range for Experienced Level (Level 3): $119,000 - $161,000
