Redwood Medical Clinic, located on the same property of the hospital, offers primary care, orthopedics and general surgery services for the community. In 1925, the Willits Development Association began discussing the need for a modern hospital. Working with the American Legion Post #174, they sponsored an old- fashioned celebration on the Fourth of July. The proceeds were designated for the building of a Willits Community Hospital. Charles S. Howard, owner of a nearby ranch (as well as owner of the racehorse "Seabiscuit"), was the first grand marshal of the Frontier Days Parade. The tradition of Frontier Days began as an annual fundraising event that has continued nonstop to today. Just two months before the second annual Frontier Days, the son of Charles Howard, 15- year- old Frank R. Howard, was injured in a very serious automobile accident. The doctor was summoned, but, because of the seriousness of the boy's injuries and lack of a ‘real’ hospital or emergency equipment, he was unable to save the boy. The tragedy moved Charles Howard to donate the then- tremendous sum of $30,000 for the construction of Frank R. Howard Memorial Hospital. We are seeking a Maintenance Reliability Manager for our First Quality Retail Services facility located in Lewistown, PA.

This position will be responsible for the developing & directing technical support teams including Operations and Line Maintenance/Preventative Maintenance, Parts Room and Facilities to achieve production goals. Works with Process Engineering, Production, Planning, Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Project Engineering to provide efficiency, scrap, speed, and reliability improvements; new products and product improvements; and manufacturing cost & quality improvements.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

• Ensures safe work practices are being followed and violations are corrected immediately.
• Works closely with Production Management, Process Engineering, Planning in addition to directing resources to meet daily production requirements, scheduled PM and Changeovers, and special projects.
• Provides hands on results focused leadership and coaching for the Maintenance, Facilities, Parts Room and Controls Engineering teams.
• Leads hiring, personnel assessments, and personnel development for assigned areas.
• Determines and manages departmental improvement plans to meet both short and long term needs. Reallocates resources and adjusts plans as needs change.
• Provides results focused oversight of Storeroom operation, overseeing initial parts stocking recommendations for new equipment and parts inventory cost management.
• Provides leadership in developing and implementing changes for improved Overall Equipment Reliability including equipment changes, auditing programs, technical training, and start up support for new equipment.
• Insures OSHA, DEP, and company procedural compliance in process group’s activities.

Candidate must be a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Gopher Tortoise Authorized Agent (AA) for surveying and mechanical excavation.

Candidate will be required to go through and obtain an MSHA New Miner Training certificate as part of on-the-job training.

This position is anticipated to be 80% field work/20% office work. Travel (local/overnight) may account for up to 30%.

The ability to travel, both within Florida and nationwide, and a clear driving record are also required. Potential candidates should be able to work effectively in both team environments and with limited supervision. Candidates should have availability to work outside of typical business hours. Flexibility in daily work schedule and willingness to work long hours in adverse environmental conditions and in remote areas is required.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in the natural resources (i.e. biological, zoology, botany, ecology or environmental science).
• Experience conducting threatened and endangered species surveys per FWC and United States Fish and Wildlife Service survey protocols/guidelines.
• Ability to lead gopher tortoise relocation efforts including mechanical excavation and bucket trapping.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a natural resources professional is required.
• Proficiency in use of Avenza, ESRI Field maps, a sub-meter GPS and data processing is also desired.
• Experience operating a 4x4 truck preferred.
