Primary Purpose:
The Executive Assistant to the Deputy Superintendent of School Leadership provides high-level
administrative, operational, and financial support to ensure the effective functioning of the School
Leadership Department. This role requires exceptional organizational skill, confidentiality, accuracy,
and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced charter environment. The Executive
Assistant serves as a key point of coordination for department operations, leadership meetings,
communications, and executive-level support.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
● Prior experience supporting senior or executive-level leadership, preferably in an educational or
charter school setting.
● Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
● Manage all incoming communications for the Deputy Superintendent across multiple communication
platforms.
● Prepare purchase requisitions, check requests, reconciliations, and other business-related
transactions.
● Perform routine bookkeeping for the department and assist with the preparation of the budget.
● Reconcile the department credit card and the Deputy Superintendent’s credit card.
● Plan and coordinate monthly leadership meetings, including securing venues, contracts, lodging, and
catering.
● Organize agendas, track action items, and support follow-up for planning meetings.
● Draft professional correspondence and formal documents.
● Record and maintain confidential minutes and documentation for School Leadership meetings.
● Manage the Deputy Superintendent’s calendar, scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain to lead all procurement, category management, and inventory strategy across the business.
This role is responsible for owning margin, availability, and vendor strategy across grocery and related categories. The ideal candidate brings deep grocery procurement experience, strong vendor negotiation skills, and the ability to build scalable systems and discipline as the company grows.
This is a hands-on leadership role with high visibility and direct impact on profitability and operational excellence.
- Own purchasing strategy across all grocery and related categories, including dry goods, specialty imports, frozen, dairy, beverage, and private label.
- Lead SKU rationalization, assortment planning, and category performance reviews.
- Develop and execute category-level margin, pricing, and promotion strategies.
- Lead all vendor negotiations, including cost reductions, payment terms, freight, rebates, and promotional funding.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while continuously improving cost structure and service levels.
- Identify and onboard new vendors aligned with quality, authenticity, and margin objectives.
- Establish inventory discipline including open-to-buy, turns, min/max, and forecasting processes.
- Reduce out-of-stocks, overstocks, and dead inventory.
- Partner with operations and finance to align purchasing with sales forecasts and cash-flow targets.
- Implement scalable purchasing systems, controls, and reporting.
- Improve PO accuracy, receiving compliance, and shrink reduction.
- Develop backup coverage and eliminate single-point dependencies in purchasing processes.
- Partner closely with COO, GM, Finance, Operations, and Merchandising teams.
- Provide clear reporting on margins, turns, vendor performance, and category health.
- Hire, train, and develop future buyers or category managers as the business scales.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in grocery procurement, category management, or supply chain leadership.
- Experience in a $50M+ grocery or specialty retail environment.
- Proven success managing multi-category purchasing and vendor negotiations.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated impact on margin and inventory turns.
- Advanced Excel and ERP / inventory system proficiency.
- Experience with retailers such as H-E-B, Central Market, Sprouts, Whole Foods, Costco, or similar.
- Private label or proprietary brand experience.
- Multi-unit or expansion-stage company experience.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented

What You Will Do:
- Provide engineering support for the fabrication and metrology of high-precision optical windows, lenses and prisms.
- Develop and document robust manufacturing process plans that meet complex optical and mechanical specifications, while optimizing for cost, throughput, quality, and yield.
- Interpret and verify conformance of engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and test procedures to applicable internal and external standards.
- Support bid and proposal efforts by estimating time and resources required for manufacturing activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and process optimization.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing technicians on the factory floor to resolve production issues in real time.
- Specify, procure, and validate production and metrology equipment required for optical manufacturing and testing.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) efforts for product or process failures using structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone.
- Interface with cross-functional teams, program management, and customers to provide technical guidance, ensure requirements compliance, and support key project milestones.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Relevant experience is providing engineering support in a precision optics manufacturing environment.
- Work history in optical manufacturing processes, including grinding, pitch polishing, and/or pad polishing techniques.
- Hands-on experience operating planetary and spindle polishing machines for optical fabrication.
- Proficiency in measuring and evaluating optical components using optical interferometry.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related field.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings that utilize GD&T standards and translating them into appropriate manufacturing steps.
- Hands-on expertise in operating and programming 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC equipment using CAM software MasterCAM or comparable platforms.
- Setting up machines, executing initial runs, troubleshooting issues, and conducting post-machining inspections.
- Creating and evaluating CAD models using Creo, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
- Conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Developing clear and detailed technical documentation to support manufacturing operations.

This is an account with current operations within all regions of the United States. Job responsibilities on this account include ensuring the safe and timely transportation of all loads and remaining compliant with all safety regulations and company policies. Drivers on this fleet will operate condo trucks and dry van trailers delivering no-touch freight. This is a no-touch freight account. Loads at some locations will be drop-and-hook, while others will involve live unloading or possibly live reloading. Home time for this fleet is 2-3 days every 2-3 weeks, to help maximize driver miles and earning potential.
