Chicago, IL | Construction Management | High-End Residential & Commercial
I'm currently partnering with a well-established Chicago-based general contractor that's looking to add a Project Manager to their service and remodeling division. This is a role for someone who takes ownership. The person stepping into this position will serve as the primary point of contact for high-end clients across multiple fast-moving projects, keeping everything on time, on budget, and running smoothly from kickoff through closeout.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Owning the client relationship from start to finish and delivering a white-glove experience
- Managing multiple concurrent post-construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects
- Coordinating subcontractors, self-perform crews, and schedules to keep everything moving
- Tracking budgets, labor costs, change orders, and contracts with accuracy
- Proactively communicating with clients, resolving issues quickly, and protecting long-term relationships
- Identifying and implementing process improvements that make the team more efficient and scalable
What They're Looking For
- 5+ years of construction PM experience on the GC or service provider side
- Background in residential remodel, commercial interiors, post-construction, or maintenance work
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced service environment
- Strong communicator who builds trust with clients, subs, and internal teams
- Experience with Procore, Jobber, QuickBooks, or Sage is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, not required
