As a Project Manager II with Graycor Construction Company, you will have the authority to drive successful project results, moving your projects from preconstruction through final closeout in the safest manner possible while maintaining the highest quality standards.
AS A PROJECT MANAGER II, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Ensure all safety compliance and quality programs are being executed on the project site. Safety is one of our core values.
- Actively participate in bidding and pre-construction services.
- Represent Graycor as the clientβs primary contact. Openly and confidently communicate with all other parties involved with the project, establishing trust and rapport with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Manage the performance of the professional support personnel on the project site. This typically includes a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager, Field Superintendents, and administrative staff.
- Maintain strict control over the budget and keep project on schedule, ensuring ongoing profitability.
- Execute subcontracts and purchase orders, and approve subcontractor invoices and change requests. Negotiate contract changes with the client. Complete close-out requirements for projects and collect final payment.
- Mentor and train Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers to ensure their ongoing career growth and development.
- Implement new ideas. Be an active member and leader within the Graycor Construction Company, actively participating in committees, make recommendations for new initiatives, and embrace new policies related to Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement Programs, Lean Construction, and Zero Punch Lists.
TO BE A SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant construction operations experience, with experience managing distribution center and/or light industrial manufacturing construction projects.
- A bachelor degree, preferably in construction management, engineering or a related field.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence

The Tractor Test Driver & Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting structured test drives of new or serviced tractors to evaluate operational performance, safety, and overall product quality. - Evaluate and validate performance of critical systems including engine, transmission, PTO, hydraulics, steering, braking systems, 3-point hitch, auxiliary circuits, and implements.
- Identify and document issues related to NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), drivetrain irregularities, hydraulic lag or oscillation, steering drift, brake fade, electrical faults, sensor anomalies, and operator interface (HMI) defects.
- Conduct visual and functional inspections for leaks, loose components, misalignment, abnormal wear, sharp edges, fit and finish defects, and paint or coating issues.
- Use OEM diagnostic tools or data acquisition systems to verify CAN bus communication, read diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), and capture operational data logs.
- Communicate findings and provide detailed reports to cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality departments.
- Support root cause investigations and recommend corrective actions based on test results.
- Perform pre-operation safety inspections including checks of tires, fluid levels, lights, horn, ROPS, and seat belts.
- Recommend improvements to product design, assembly processes, and testing procedures based on operational observations.
- Follow all safety protocols and testing procedures during equipment operation and evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification in Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, Agricultural Equipment Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating tractors or heavy/mobile equipment in agricultural, construction, industrial, testing, or service environments.
- Valid driverβs license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate tractors with manual and hydrostatic transmissions.
- Basic understanding of hydraulics, powertrain systems, and electrical systems.
- Experience with CAN diagnostics and reading diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings, service manuals, and testing procedures.

This is an entry level driver training role. - Perform all required safety checks (i.e. pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department ofΒ Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspect tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriateΒ action as needed. - Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately report any and all safety hazards.Β
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight. Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products thatΒ have been loaded. Check and complete in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight. MoveΒ tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.Β Β
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.Β
- Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas. Perform damage control checks on items,Β scanning and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy. Verify delivery of items with customer andΒ obtain proper signatures. Collect money (cash or checks) where required. Load customer returns on to trailer and secure trailer doors.Β
- Ensure that tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times.Β
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork. Unload allΒ equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state and company requirements.

A Brief Overview
The CDL Driver II is responsible for the safe, efficient transportation of materials to various job sites and other locations. This role requires maintaining a Class A or B Driver's license, inspecting and maintaining trucks, reporting shortages and claims to supervisors, and assisting in loading and storing of materials. Drivers must perform pre- and post-trip inspections, manage logs, and adhere to hours-of-service requirements. The CDL Driver II is typically a more experienced driver who may train new associates.
What you will do
- Operates Class A commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
- Responsible for deliveries to both active construction sites and completed build locations; city-based deliveries and inter-state travel may be required.
- Performs thorough pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with federal regulations.
- Provides exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor, addressing client needs, representing the company positively during all interactions, and relaying messages received from customers while on job sites.
- Organizes and secures loads to ensure safe transport and verifies orders for accuracy before departure and upon delivery.
- Adheres to all regulations and safety guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and complies with all regulations and conditions outlined in applicable permits.
- Prepares and maintains accurate DOT-compliant logs of driving hours, on-duty time, and rest periods in accordance with federal regulations.
- Delivers and unloads materials accurately and safely, ensuring customer satisfaction at the point of delivery.
- Records all merchandise returned by truck and assists in unloading materials returned for credit, ensuring proper documentation and handling.
- Safely and efficiently operates a truck-mounted forklift to load, unload, and transport materials at job sites.
- Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the truck, ensuring it is well-kept and ready for operation.
- Assist with stocking and organizing inventory in the warehouse and production areas.
- Trains and mentors incoming drivers on company policies, safety procedures, and operational best practices.

Education Qualifications
- High School or general equivalency degree (GED) required.
Experience Qualifications

As a Driver Trainee, you will learn the essential functions of the Driver job including the accurate and timely distribution of products to various customer locations. What you'll do as a Driver Trainee:
- Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.
- Operates truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
- Operates Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH), document delivery receipts/product temperatures and exceptions. Inspects trailer to ensure product is secure for undamaged transport of product.
- Rides and trains with Driver Trainer of tractor-trailer to various destinations, gaining knowledge of commercial driving regulations and observing the Driver's skill in starting engine properly, approaching intersections, making turns, backing, parking, and maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
- Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
- Assists the Driver in unloading trailer and delivering product into customer premises.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications you'll bring as a Driver Trainee Teammate:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Meet eligibility requirements in the McLane Transfer and Promotion Policy.
- Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
- Ability and willingness to select/load/unload and/or deliver ALL products that may be ordered by McLane customers.
- Stand, walk, sit, climb, reach, bend, squat, and stoop to accomplish the essential job functions.
- Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
- Perform mathematical calculations to verify quantities of product.
- Communicate with customers, management, and other teammates.
- Safely drive a tractor-trailer, use a 2-wheeled dolly, ramp, and on board PeopleNet devices.
- This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
