Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Certified Surgical Tech, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to the company’s mission and vision by assisting with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in accordance with a defined scope of practice within the operating room. This may include: direct patient care and observation, scrubbing and assisting the surgeon at the operative field, surgical room turnover between cases, collection and recording of pertinent clinical data in the medical record and consistent collaboration with the Registered Nurse in clinical decision making.
What you will do in this role:
- Demonstrate necessary practical, technical, or specialized skills required for the role of the surgical technician in accordance with the Association of Surgical Technologists
- Assist in preparing the operative suite for surgery by checking and gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments
- Ensure that surgical asepsis is maintained in the handling of instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings
- Assist in the turnover of the operating room suites between cases, disposing of trash and linens, and cleaning of equipment and environmental surfaces
- Prepare procedure room for use the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, "pulling cases" accurately, and reporting to supervisor items that are needed and not available
Qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program as required per facility practice and state regulatory requirement; otherwise preferred
- Surgical Tech Certification
- One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center)
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment ***Online certification not acceptable

A Brief Overview

What you will do
* Performs radiologic and other requested examinations on assigned patients. Determines technical and positioning factors and positions patient for exam. Determines and selects proper radiographic factors in order to minimize radiation exposure.
* Explains procedures to patients and answers any questions or concerns.
* Collects specimens for drug screens and performs Blood Alcohol Tests and CLIA-waived tests.
* Performs patient intake activities, including checking and recording vital signs.
* Provides ongoing patient assessment through observation of patient and records; reports findings accurately and on time.
* Assists in the development of others through guidance and teaching. Promotes professional practice of all members of the radiological services team.
* Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.

The Tech shall operate imaging equipment and image processing equipment, prepare radiographic exam rooms, and maintain department equipment and supplies.
The Tech shall provide medical imaging services utilizing various modalities including Radiology, Computer Tomography, and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging; while maintaining competencies in these assigned areas.
The Tech will provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.

The Opportunity:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating day-to-day facility operations and ensuring all scheduled events are executed smoothly and professionally. This position manages event scheduling and booking, monitors facility communications, fields customer inquiries, and ensures all facility spaces are prepared according to client requirements. This position also conducts pre-event walkthroughs with customers to verify that technical and A/V systems are functioning properly and meet event needs. This role involves a high level of comfort and professionalism when working witha military and government customers.
Responsibilities:
Facility & Event Operations
Manage the facility's event calendar and oversee scheduling logistics.
Coordinate event bookings, ensuring proper documentation and confirmation of customer requirements.
Maintain awareness of upcoming events and proactively prepare facility spaces accordingly.
Ensure facility readiness for meetings, trainings, and special events.
Customer Service & Communication
Monitor and respond to facility email communications in a timely and professional manner.
Field incoming phone calls and provide accurate information regarding event availability, policies, and services.

Event Setup & Execution

Familiarity with event booking software or scheduling platforms.

The Radiology Department performs 25,000 imaging exams annually using CT Philips ingenuity 64 slice CT scanner, MRI, ultrasound, and Hologic 3D for mammography. CT and general x-ray services are available 24/7, with ultrasound and MRI performed on weekdays with weekend ultrasound call coverage.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking experienced CT/Mammo/Rad Tech with excellent customer service skills.
