Job Description
Hill Wallack LLP is seeking a Foreclosure Paralegal with a minimum of 3 years of experience handling foreclosure matters. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing foreclosure files from referral through conclusion and will be comfortable working in a deadline-driven legal environment.
This position is suited for a detail-oriented professional who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage foreclosure matters from referral through final resolution
- Order and review title reports
- Obtain payoff statements and prepare deed assignments
- Draft correspondence and legal documents
- Prepare and process foreclosure pleadings
- Monitor and meet sensitive court deadlines
- Provide status updates and communicate effectively with clients
- E-file pleadings with the court
- Maintain organized case files and case tracking systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in foreclosure and creditors' rights
- Experience managing foreclosure files independently
- Knowledge of court procedures and e-filing systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong administrative skills, including accurate typing, proofreading, spelling, and grammar
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LPS and Tempo
- Experience in a law firm environment handling high-volume matters
