Job Description

A growing commercial general contractor serving Northern Colorado is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of ground-up commercial construction projects.

The company works on projects across industrial, multifamily, education, municipal, and mixed-use sectors throughout the Fort Collins region.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will oversee financial, contractual, and operational management of ground-up construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Typical projects range from $10M – $70M.

The role requires strong experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple ground-up commercial construction projects
  • Oversee project budgets, forecasting, and cost tracking
  • Negotiate and administer subcontracts and vendor agreements
  • Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure field execution aligns with schedule and budget
  • Lead owner meetings and project reporting
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
  • Monitor project schedules and milestone deliverables
  • Ensure profitability and risk management throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support project closeout and owner turnover

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of commercial construction experience
  • 3+ years as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer
  • Experience managing ground-up commercial projects $10M+
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, budgets, and scheduling
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
