Role Overview

The Project Engineer supports the successful delivery of construction and engineering projects by assisting with coordination, technical oversight, and documentation. Acting as a link between design teams and site operations, this role helps ensure that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with specifications.


You will work closely with project leadership, site teams, contractors, and client representatives to maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in project coordination, including planning, scheduling, and reporting activities
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and submissions to ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Support communication between design, procurement, and construction teams to resolve technical queries
  • Manage documentation processes, including RFIs, submissions, and version control
  • Contribute to cost tracking activities such as quantity take-offs and material monitoring
  • Track project progress and help identify potential risks or delays
  • Participate in meetings and maintain clear records of actions and decisions
  • Provide technical support to site teams to ensure work is completed in line with approved designs
  • Monitor and document scope changes, design updates, and project adjustments
  • Assist with project close-out activities, including preparation of final documentation and handover packages
  • Promote adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards throughout all stages of delivery


Requirements

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Early-career experience (typically 0–3 years) in construction, engineering support, or project coordination
  • Understanding of construction documentation, processes, and workflows
  • Familiarity with common industry software tools used for project tracking and documentation
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Comfortable working within multidisciplinary project teams
