Medical Equipment Technician
Medical Equipment Technicians are responsible for ensuring safe delivery, providing setup, and education in usage of home medical equipment for our customers. Setup is done in their home, long-term care setting, clinic or any location deemed necessary to service patients.
Job Duties:
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company and all
- applicable governmental regulations.
- Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures.
- Educate customers in proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment in a home setting.
- Complete required documentation following equipment setup, delivery or pickups as required.
- Assist with customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
- Process all orders in a timely, accurate manner.
- Promote services and products to referral sources in the community as appropriate.
- Develop basic reimbursement knowledge and completely document all information necessary to ensure
- reimbursement for all appropriate equipment, products, and services.
- Assist with implementation of quality improvement program to meet company policies.
- Maintain home oxygen systems through regularly scheduled visits to customers.
- Safely drive and maintain company vehicle.
- Perform patient assessment and re-assessment for patient care.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required in accordance with
- company policies.
- Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policies and

Minimum Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Entry level sales, customer service background essential
- One (1) year of Military, delivery driver with sales component or health care technician experience would be
- considered related experience and preferred.
- Senior level requires two (2) years of work-related experience and one (1) year of exact job experience.
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to stretch, bend, stoop and crouch and perform moderate to heavy physical labor while moving equipment and supplies.
- Subject to long periods of sitting and driving.
- Work environment may be stressful at times, as overall work activities and work levels fluctuate.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a locum Medical Physicist to join our Oncology team. The position is available starting mid-June on a part-time basis, with an ongoing need for part-time coverage. The call rotation is 1:2 unless it is for vacation coverage, in which case the locum would be the only physicist on call. The EMR system used is Cerner. Responsibilities:
* Provide safe therapeutic radiological physics to the Radiation Oncology Department
* Ensure equipment safety, quality patient care, and teaching in accordance with regulatory standards and medical community guidelines
* Participate in treatment procedures including SRS, SBRT, IMRT, DIBH, gating, SGRT, and 3D Conformal

* Provide additional support to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists as needed
Successful Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a MS or PhD, be board eligible with intent for certification or board certified by the ABR or ABMP, and must be or become registered in Iowa as a Radiation Therapy Physicist. Skills in calibration and commissioning of linear accelerators and other radiation sources, performing quality assurance of equipment and treatment plans, and implementing new technologies are essential. Inside Sales Specialist
The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for ensuring continuity between the patients, clinics, community, physician practice and the home setting to maximize patient satisfaction of services. Increasing sales, billed revenue, and new patients in accordance with department goals. Optimize patient safety, comfort, and well-being; to improve awareness and confidence among healthcare professionals, physicians and patients regarding current options and capabilities; to coordinate referrals to ensure timely admission and appropriate patient care based on referrals. - Main responsibility is to deliver Qualified Prospects every month, meeting the goals and expectations of the company. Qualified Prospects are generated by developing and qualifying new Leads and converting them into Qualified Prospects. All Leads must meet CompassCare’s criteria.
- Meet in person and virtually with physicians, social workers, discharge planners, leaders in aging industry, estate planners, financial institutions, etc. to build and strengthen referral sources.
- Plan and oversee creative community liaison activities in healthcare settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities.
- Consistently identify new potential referral sources and cultivate productive business partnerships that lead to business growth and increased revenue.
2. Develop and Implement Marketing Plan
- Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns to enhance CompassCare’s awareness and consistently grow the business. This includes activities such as consistently posting appropriate content on social media platforms, designing and writing quarterly newsletters, and orchestrating informational webinars, in-person presentations, and networking events.
- Attend industry conferences and regional networking events to identify potential new business opportunities and strengthen CompassCare’s presence in the community.
- Become an expert in the home care industry and market trends, the competitive landscape, and share insights with the leadership team.
- Update marketing materials and support other branding efforts.
3.Performance Reporting
- Meet established activity targets for the Business Development function and achieve desired results, measured by an increase in active referral sources and qualified cases referred each month.
- Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on referral growth and marketing outcomes to senior management. This includes planning and documenting daily Business Development activities, weekly meetings, and networking engagements, and providing weekly performance reports, including progress on referral source development.
