We are a Human Translation Center that takes basic science discoveries and advances them through cutting-edge clinical trials. One of our premier programs in the Immunobiology Laboratories is conducting innovative Phase II clinical trials focused on the treatment of type 1 diabetes with a generic drug called the BCG vaccine. We are testing the potential of BCG vaccination to reverse type 1 diabetes in both adults and children.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laboratory Administrator to join our diverse clinical and research teams. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the lab's operations, ensuring the smooth day-to-day functions, and assisting with administrative tasks vital for the lab's productivity and success. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research while working closely with a talented team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Order daily lab and office supplies to ensure the lab is well-stocked and operations run smoothly.
· Initiate contract requests with MGH's contracts team and assist in drafting legal Statements of Work (SOWs).
· Proofread and assist with Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and other relevant legal documents.
· Process and track monthly lab budgets, ensuring accurate financial records and accounting.
· Reconcile monthly credit card expenses to maintain budget integrity.
· Assist with proofreading publications and compiling references for research articles.
· Aid in reviewing and submitting grants.
· Supervise about 20 employee hours for integrity and report to the timekeeping department.
· Assist with and direct lab safety protocols, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
· Manage and direct the annual donation drive for the lab, with special attention to high-profile donors.
· Set up and send blast emails via Constant Contact for lab announcements and updates.
· Set up job postings and assist with the onboarding process for new team members.
· Provide administrative support for any additional tasks as required by the PI.
· Ensure timely invoice payments to vendors.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
· Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
· Experience with lab administration and research support is preferred.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Familiarity with budgets, expense reconciliation, and contract management is preferred, or a keen interest in learning.
· Ability to work independently.
· Experience with grants, publications, and safety compliance is a plus.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

We are seeking a highly motivated Chemistry Lab Technician to join our Analytical Chemistry team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with analysis using Gas Chromatography with Flame Ionization Detection (GC-FID), and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). This role involves preparing samples for analysis, performing analytical testing while ensuring accurate and reliable results, maintaining instrumentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Trains and completes competencies to set up and operate cath lab equipment including, but not limited to: Imaging (X-Ray, intravascular ultrasound-IVUS, intracardiac echo-ICE), contrast injector, hemodynamic system, intra-aortic balloon pump, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, left ventricular assist device, etc.
Supports and anticipates the needs of the physician and ensures patient safety when scrubbing procedures;
moves/pans table appropriately during fluoro and X-Ray acquisition.
Adheres to aseptic technique 100% of the time during procedures and stops the line if a break in sterile technique is identified.
Adheres to organizational policies and processes related to patient safety, patient privacy, infection control (hand hygiene), and patient communication before, during, and after procedure.

Summary:
Follows established standard practices: Prepares and stains microscopic slides from specimens of blood, tissue scrapings, and body fluids. Examines cells of the human body to detect evidence of cancer, abnormalities, and other pathological conditions. Categories slides, records classification, compiles listings of patients for follow-up analysis, and reports all unusual cell structures or abnormalities to the Pathologist. Addresses all daily operations of the cytology laboratory.

* Enters patient information, orders, and technical information into LIS.
* Within acceptable TAT guidelines, devises and directs performance of routine and special stains to provide appropriate slides for the microscopic evaluation of tissues, fluids, and other cytopathology specimens.
* Operates staining equipment, ThinPrep equipment, coverslippers and other AP equipment to provide quality slides for examinations.
* Performs manual stains, as needed, to provide quality slides for examinations.
* Assists Pathologists with fine needle aspirations.
* Using the microscope and stained slides, identifies and mark all unusual findings in the specimen using accepted morphologic criteria.
* Examines and evaluates the cell sample for the presence or absence of normal/abnormal cellular patterns;
assesses malignant, pre-malignant, inflammatory, and benign changes.
* Refers to cellular changes that meet guidelines for supervisor and/or pathologist review.
* Quality Control / Improvement: performs analysis and records QC according to policy and procedure following CLIA, CAP, and Joint Commission guidelines and standards.
* Maintenance/Lab Management: performs established daily and periodic preventative maintenance with documentation;
troubleshoots minor problems and initiates service calls as needed;
orders and restocks supplies/reagents;
reviews policy & procedure manual;
dates reagents and discards expired reagents.
* Continuing Education/Development: attends, reads, or listens by tape to material of 10-12 in-house educational programs yearly;
trains new staff in practices
* Completes tasks or special projects within the time frame as assigned, or as requested by Supervisors, Managers, or Directors.
* Accreditation: follows CAP, AABB, Compliance, CLIA, JCAHO, and OSHA standards and prepares/participates in all applicable inspections.

The Section Chief of Interventional Cardiology and the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Medical Director provides clinical leadership for all interventional cardiology services, and will work with their dyad partner to provide operational and strategic direction for these services. The Section Chief will partner closely with hospital leadership to integrate interventional cardiology, structural heart, electrophysiology, vascular services, surgery, anesthesia, nursing, and operations, while advancing the institution’s cardiovascular service line.

Clinical Quality & Patient Safety
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based interventional cardiology guidelines.
