Inside Sales Representative – Industrial Products

Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client looking to hire an Industrial Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This onsite role is ideal for a service-driven professional who thrives in a technical B2B environment and enjoys supporting customers with accurate, timely solutions.

This position requires someone who is comfortable learning technical product lines, asking questions to ensure accuracy, and collaborating across departments to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Process quote requests and customer purchase orders received via phone, email, and online systems
• Accurately enter orders into the ERP system and verify pricing, payment terms, and delivery details
• Communicate proactively with customers to confirm specifications, resolve discrepancies, and provide order updates
• Schedule, expedite, and track orders to ensure on-time delivery
• Coordinate with suppliers to place purchase orders and manage inbound logistics
• Provide basic technical product support to help customers identify appropriate components
• Partner with warehouse, sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Minimum 3 years of related customer service experience; industrial B2B experience preferred
• Experience handling quotes, order entry, and customer account support
• Familiarity with payment terms, shipping/logistics processes, and general industrial customer types
• Background supporting industrial or technical product lines strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage competing priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP or ERP experience is a plus
