We're representing a well-established, growing Chicago law firm seeking a mid-level corporate transactional attorney (5–7 years) to join its busy practice. The role centers on M&A and general corporate work, offering meaningful responsibility, direct partner access, and a collaborative, non-siloed culture.

The Role

• Handle M&A transactions: due diligence, drafting/reviewing agreements, coordinating deal workstreams
• Advise on general corporate matters tied to growth, acquisitions, and governance
• Work closely with partners on mid-market and entrepreneurial client deals

Compensation

• Base salary $150,000 – $200,000 (DOE)
• Bonus potential + comprehensive benefits

Location: Chicago

• Hybrid Flexibility — 3 days/week in-office (Downtown Chicago/Loop); flexible around client needs/holidays

Must-Haves

• 5–7 years of corporate transactional experience (M&A required)
• Active Illinois Bar license
• Stable work history (no excessive job hopping)
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

Nice-to-Have

• Representative transaction list or deal sheet showing M&A depth
• Experience with mid-market or entrepreneurial clients
