The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Data Center Infrastructure) is a technical leader responsible for the architecture, integration, and validation of advanced mechanical systems supporting hyperscale data center environments. This role requires deep expertise in liquid cooling technologies (single-phase and two-phase), hydronic system design, structural integration, and manufacturable rack-level infrastructure solutions.
This role is responsible for defining system performance requirements, developing technical specifications, selection and integration of critical components, and leading mechanical design from concept through production release. Responsibilities include wetted material selection, thermal and structural analysis, fastening strategies, component layout, and design for manufacturability. Partners cross-functionally to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective Data Center Infrastructure solutions while advancing innovation in liquid cooling performance.
What will you do?
Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and engineering of hyperscale Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) systems, including liquid-cooled rack assemblies, CDUs, manifolds, enclosures, structural frames, and associated hydronic piping systems.
Serve as the technical authority for single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling architectures, including primary and secondary loop design, in-rack distribution, and system integration within hyperscale data center environments.
Define and validate operational performance requirements for liquid-cooled infrastructure, including pressure ratings, hydrostatic limits, temperature ranges, flow rates and uniformity, thermal expansion, durability, and serviceability.
Design, analyze, and validate machined components, welded fabrications, manifolds, and structural systems using advanced engineering principles, including stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), flow modeling, and structural load calculations to ensure mechanical integrity and code compliance.
Lead wetted material selection and compatibility analysis for liquid cooling systems, including corrosion mitigation strategies, surface treatments, cleanliness standards, and long-term durability considerations.
Develop and review CAD models and complete technical data packages using CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools; ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and system-level integration.
Author and approve technical specifications for piping systems, rack-level cooling infrastructure, and hydronic components, including installation guidelines, maintenance procedures, testing requirements, and compliance with applicable standards (ASME, ISO).
Establish and oversee validation protocols including hydrostatic pressure testing, leak detection and mitigation, flow resistance analysis, and corrosion verification to ensure regulatory compliance and operational reliability.
Evaluate customer design proposals and technical specifications to assess feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and risk; provide recommendations to optimize performance and total cost of ownership.
Lead cross-functional design reviews with electrical, thermal, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure full system integration and compliance with product specifications and applicable plumbing and hydronic codes.
Optimize rack manifold design and manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, surface finishing, connection interfaces, venting and draining strategies, and flow path optimization to enhance performance and manufacturability.
Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing assembly methods and tooling in collaboration with production teams and equipment vendors to improve quality, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Lead root cause investigations for complex mechanical failures identified during validation or field deployment and implement corrective design improvements.
Provide technical leadership in vendor qualification and management for mechanical components and liquid cooling subsystems.
Identify and mitigate technical risks impacting performance, schedule, or cost, and contribute to R&D initiatives advancing liquid cooling technologies and system innovation.

8 years' experience in mechanical design and integration of mission-critical systems.
Proven track record of successful system designs and implementations in a relevant industry

Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to Energy Storage Systems and Data Center Infrastructure is preferred.

What Youโll Do
- Drive partner-led pipeline: Generate and progress all opportunities through co-sell with PingIdentity, Okta, OpenText, and other partner account teams.
- Lead discovery and qualify deals: Diagnose root causes, quantify business impact, and use a structured framework (MEDDICC or similar) to confirm fit, stakeholders, decision process, and urgency.
- Solve the biggest problems: Identify the highest-priority IAM issues (โthe nastiest problemsโ) and shape the single best-fit services solution to solve them.
- Own proposals and SOWs: Lead proposal development and Statement of Work creation (scope, assumptions, success criteria, milestones, client responsibilities, change control), leveraging internal sales engineers and solution architects for technical details and estimates.
- Manage procurement and close: Navigate negotiations and procurement, including regulated and public sector processes when applicable.
- Operate in a team-selling model: Coordinate with others for assistance, backup, handoffs, and shared coverage across opportunities as needed.
- Represent TriVir externally: Attend partner events, conferences, and client meetings (~25% travel) and present effectively to executive and technical audiences.
- Ensure clean delivery handoff: Transition signed work to delivery with clear documentation of scope, success criteria, assumptions, risks, and governance.

- Identity Governance (IG) work including: Veza, Lumos
- Project-based services and advisory retainers (some engagements may evolve into ongoing managed-services-like relationships)
Compensation
- OTE: $160k-$230k based on experience
- Base: $90k-$130k
- Variable: $70k-$110k (based on recognized service revenue from net-new clients)
- Ramp: First year Q1 - 100% OTE, Q2 - 75% OTE, Q3 - 50% OTE, Q4 - 25% OTE
- Paid the greater of the Ramp or standard plan each quarter for the first year

Qualifications
Required
- Experience selling solutions or professional services
- Proven ability to sell complex, multi-stakeholder engagements (typical deal sizes $100kโ$3M+; sales cycles measured in months)
- Comfortable selling to CIO/CISO, IAM leadership, and IT operations teams; able to work through procurement
- Experience operating in a team selling environment (coverage, backup, handoff)
- Strong written communication (proposals/SOWs) and executive presence
- Sufficient technical knowledge to engage in discovery motions and participate in technical solution development
Preferred
- IAM domain expertise and professional services selling experience

The Mid-Level Life Solutions Specialist helps to ensure the financial security of our membership by assessing member life insurance needs, providing advice and / or referrals for advice, and making the appropriate recommendations based on membersโ individual needs and goals. What you'll do:

Educates membership on implications of economic, industry trends and tax law changes, as well as USAA's
products and services.
May conduct outbound follow-up calls to complete member acquisition of products and services previously discussed.
Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a routine nature.
Guides and influences less experienced team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ยท Supports the Test Engineer in the development and commission of test solutions executing the test qualification of the fixture and program as per the specific system qualification process.
ยท Responsibility for providing the deliverables to support the solution in production to both the Test Support Function and Manufacturing Operations.
ยท Assists in the build and manufacture of testers, fixtures and environmental tooling as required to meet the customer expectations.
ยท The Technician Engineer provides the interface to the Test Support function providing comprehensive documentation and training for all test solutions implemented.
ยท Provides the interface to the Manufacturing function providing comprehensive documentation and coordinating training and education for all test operations implemented.
ยท Through working with the Test Support function monitor and contribute to the improvement of Test Yields, Efficiency, Intermittencies and Uptime providing accurate reporting and clear targets for improvement.
ยท In conjunction with the Test Engineer strives to consistently upgrade the test process balancing cost, coverage with the goal of providing an optimized and cost efficient test process.
ยท Works closely with manufacturing and test support to ensure prioritization of support activities. He/ She will be responsible for coordinating the timetable for test readiness based on the weekly production schedule through the appropriate Test Support staff.

The Opportunity
The Mid-Level Life Solutions Specialist helps to ensure the financial security of our membership by assessing member life insurance needs, providing advice and / or referrals for advice, and making the appropriate recommendations based on membersโ individual needs and goals. May provide support to Health Solutions acquisition and retention based on member demand.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 5 days per week, with the opportunity to move to a hybrid schedule after 6 months. This position can be based at the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Colorado Springs, CO Campus . Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
Receives request for advice from current and prospective members through various channels, including inbound and outbound phone calls, emails, faxes, and video telephony. Special Acquisitions Team employees will primarily place outbound calls triggered from underwriting work items.
Asks questions to discover key information, including life events, and to understand member needs. Documents relevant information.
Uncovers and recognizes life events, understands and assesses the member's needs, financial situation, and goals.
Develops and understands appropriate life insurance strategies based on individual member needs. Provides intermediate protection planning advice, including insurance protection, estate planning and enhanced solutions like long term care products.
Recommends relevant life insurance product and solutions and refers members who may need financial advice to the respective department.
Motivates member to take action on recommendation(s) and resolves objections using intermediate sales techniques and intermediate persuasion skills. Implements recommendation(s).
Monitors legislative initiatives that may impact economy, society, and personal financial situation.
Educates membership on implications of economic, industry trends and tax law changes, as well as USAA's
products and services.
May conduct outbound follow-up calls to complete member acquisition of products and services previously discussed.
Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a routine nature.
Guides and influences less experienced team members.
Work Hours:
Monday โ Friday / 7:30am โ 7:00pm (Central)
An 8 hour shift will fall within these hours
This role is required to be in office, with potential hybrid opportunity after 6 months.
What you have:
High School diploma or GED
Required maintenance of Life/Health license
Required annual completion of AHIP and Broker/Carrier appointments when applicable.
2 years of financial industry and/or life sales experience
Experience delivering frequent written and oral communication
Experience acquiring and applying new concepts and information
Experience processing and analyzing information
Experience fulfilling requests and meeting deadlines
Experience resolving conflict and negotiating
Experience multi-tasking in an operating systems environment
Experience participating in or leading teams
Successful completion of a job-related assessment may be required
What sets you apart:
4+ years experience working in Sales with life insurance
1+ years experience working in a call center environment
CLUยฎ - Chartered Life Underwriter or comparable designation
