JOB SUMMARY:

As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of any given project. Additionally, the Project Manager ensures budget and deadlines are met and consistent with project standards.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Create a Schedule of Values for our pay applications and submit to the General Contractor.
• Analyze the construction schedule and create a schedule for submittals, material ordering and estimated field labor durations & project completion.
• Create submittals for doors, frames and hardware from architectural plans and specification.
• Manage and respond to electronic contractual changes (RFI’s, PC’s, Etc.). Quote changes that affect our material and/or labor cost. Distribute Change Order Due letters to the contractor.
• Order materials (Purchase orders) from approved submittals for timely delivery according to the construction schedule or as agreed upon with the contractor for billed and stored material.
• Support the Performance Door project field supervisor for the timely delivery of materials according to the construction schedule. Send field use drawings periodically reflecting updated schedules incorporating project revisions.
• Provide monthly pay application to the accounting department including back up documentation for stored or FSC materials.
• Actively pursue contractual “Change Orders” from “price and proceed” CO Due letters. Take an active role in collecting money.
• Approve weekly vendor invoices for payment. Check vendor costs against our purchase order.
• Other job duties and responsibilities as needed.

SK pharmteco, Cell and Gene US, is looking for a highly skilled Associate Scientist to join the Bioanalytical and Biophysical Analytical Development team. The Associate Scientist will primarily engage in analytical development, assay qualification/validation, and analytical testing for cell and gene therapy products.

Position Summary:

• Collaborate effectively with a dynamic team of scientists and multidisciplinary groups involved in the production and analytical testing of cell and gene therapy products.
• Independently perform PCR-based assays, including ddPCR, qPCR, and RT-qPCR, for applications such as genomic titer, residual DNA, and related QC release testing as assigned
• Perform laboratory tasks for assay development, qualification/validation, and sample testing of cell and gene therapy products.
• Familiarize with various assays conducted by the team and learn to execute them in GLP/GMP environments.
• Ensure accurate laboratory records are maintained.
• Draft technical reports in accordance with good documentation practices and company standard operating procedures.
• Conduct testing in GMP environments according to the company’s requirements.
• Prepare presentations and communicate technical results to internal teams.
• Complete reagent qualification and associated documentation.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections as needed.
• Assist with instrument maintenance and ensure laboratory organization.
• Strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols and compliance guidelines.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, & Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in science preferably molecular biology, immunology or related discipline.
• At least 1 year laboratory experience in analyzing PCR data or cell based assays is preferred
• Previous experience in safe handling of gene therapy product is preferred.
• Knowledge in FDA and ICH regulatory guidelines and prior work experience in GMP regulated environment is a desirable.

Oversee and lead food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance programs at SK Food Group operational sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Facility designee for SQF Practitioner and PQCI.
• Implement, lead and drive a food safety and quality culture for the assigned facility. Lead HACCP/Food Safety/Quality teams.
• Develop, manage and maintain the food safety and quality assurance programs including but not limited to: SQF, HACCP/Food Safety Plan (s), SOP’s, SSOP’s, and Pre-Requisite programs, sanitation verification (pre-operational inspection) and customer specific requirements.
• Lead and manage 3rd party audits, GFSI Certification Audits (SQF Food Safety and Quality), and customer audits.
• Oversee environmental microbiological sampling program, and ensure it meets all corporate, customer, and regulatory requirements (USDA and FDA).
• Administer training and oversee competency performance of personnel in the Quality Assurance Department.
• Manage specified customer product cutting process for compliance with customer specifications.
• Oversee Quality and Food Safety Monitoring activities for program and regulatory compliance.
• Execute SQF plan to maintain Food Safety and Quality certification. Serve as primary site contact for SQF, federal, state, or county audits. Manage all aspects of the 3rd party audit process including correspondence and corrective actions.
• Ensure SK Food Group meets or exceeds all regulatory compliance obligations (FDA, USDA, State, labeling, weights and measures, etc.). Actively communicate with on-site USDA inspectors to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Manage the “Hold and Release” programs including physical inventory and virtual Inventory through the ERP system.
• Work closely with R&D, Commercialization and Corporate Food Safety Quality Manager on all pilot runs to include data collection and analysis, MPS (manufacturing processing specification) development and Finished Good specification development.
• Execute daily sanitation verification of pre-operational inspection and production floor release.
• Execute trace exercises of product flow functionality within the ERP System (Sage X3). Ability to account and submit all required mock recall documentation to corporate QA leadership.
• Execute QA (Plant level) functionality within the ERP System (Sage X3).
• Manage 3rd party pest control firm.
• Manage departmental budget.
• Oversee the supplier non-conformance supplier program at the plant facility level.
• Manage investigations, responses and corrective actions for plant quality complaints.
• Recommend capital expenditures for food safety and quality assurance improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Quality Management, Microbiology (or equivalent/related field) and at least six years of related experience and/or training in a food or food related industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and direct associates in performing job duties and ensure assigned tasks are completed.
• Enforce, develop and maintain safe working practices for all production associates.
• Develop and train production associates in their respective work areas.

• Counsel production associates on job performance and implement or make recommendations on disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Conduct performance reviews and other periodic performance feedback.
• Responsible for hiring, managing, disciplining and terminating associates.
• First Shift: Early morning machine component and associate set-up.
• Review daily production schedule.
• Ensure daily paperwork and documentation is completed on a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure the use of correct products at the correct settings.
• Ensure that product produced is of the highest quality watching for proportions and correct placement of components in each sandwich.
• Monitor sanitation to verify constant removing of waste, garbage and other material from the floor.
• Return to stock items not used during the day.
• Complete resource planning to ensure we have needed staffing daily to ensure completion of orders.
• Review and verify accuracy of associate time punches in ADP.
• Review cost of goods and variance reports.
• Plan/schedule next day’s production run.
• Responsible for maintaining HACCP compliance for department.
• This position is primarily responsible for directly supervising production associates and/or temporary associates.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to communicate in English, fluency in other languages is preferred.
• Knowledge of and training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Safe Food Handling knowledge and training, manufacturing or production techniques.
• Understanding of HACCP requirements.

Reports to: Director of Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Has a thorough understanding of our company’s materials, supplies, equipment, and production capabilities. Assists less experienced planners by providing information, as necessary.

• Confers with manufacturing to ensure the coordination of all functions involved in the production, inventory management, and quality assurance of the product by scheduling workloads and establishing lead times for manufacture of the product.

• Works from inventory and production requirements/reports, drawings, written and verbal instructions to plan and determine operational scheduling/planning of assigned manufacturing operations.

• Reviews on hand component quantities versus allocated quantities using data system and determine which components need additional shop orders released to produce additional product.

• Reviews order requirements using data system and adjust lot quantities appropriately based on part history and customer need.

• Evaluates alternative methods to produce finished product if standard components are not readily available to meet customer needs.

• Provides accurate feedback to sales as to delivery dates and advises when problems arise that will affect deliver to the customer. Assists less experienced planners with more complex issues.

• Effectively manages the scheduling process and adjusts when changes are necessary and provides creative solutions to difficult situations.

• Keeps the supervisor aware in a timely manner of any issues needing the supervisor’s involvement.

• Maintains timely and accurate records and reports, as required.

• Is timely and effective in responding to customer and production issues.

• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external resources.

Requirements

• High school education is required. At least some college education in a related field is preferred.

• Has the necessary training to be proficient in the position.

• Has at least two years of experience of successful related experience within another company function or organization.
