You will be actively involved in advanced procedures such as ACL TPLO, Arthroscopy, Patellar Luxation, Elbow and Hip Dysplasia repair, Fracture Repair, and Gait Analysis. Our surgeons have extensive training, including PhD research in canine hip replacement, and utilize state-of-the-art diagnostics and techniques like 3D printing and virtual surgery to plan and execute complex cases. Your Impact as a Surgical Scrub Assistant:

This position will involve assisting our anesthesia team in preparing patients for surgery, opening sterile supplies and instruments in the O.R., positioning and draping of surgery patients, helping with pack prep duties (cleaning instruments, re-wrapping surgical packs, etc.), patient care, and most importantly scrubbing in with our surgeons and assisting them in surgery.

Position Requirements: 

• Strong interpersonal skills to kindly and effectively interface with our team
• Scrub nurse or surgery assistant from human medicine, RVT, LVT or equivalent experience
• Scrubbing into surgical procedures and assisting surgeons in the operating room
• Familiarity with sterile fields and O.R. protocols
• Comfortable working with and around animals
