Technical Designer/Pattern Engineer

Location: Beaverton, OR

Contract length: 8 months to start

Schedule: Hybrid in Beaverton, OR

Pay: $46-48/hr, DOE (W2 and benefit options)

The Planet Group is looking for a Technical Designer/Pattern Engineer to join our well-known retail brand on a roughly 8-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be hybrid in Beaverton, OR, working from home on Fridays. This person will report to the Technical Design Director and will collaborate with Design, Product Management, PCC , materials and manufacturing to effectively execute on product development & fit goals deliverables.

Technical Designer/Pattern Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in apparel design, textile science or related field preferred
• Additional product creation experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• 5+ years technical design experience in the apparel industry (IDEALLY 7+) which includes the apparel development process from inception through production including pattern making, grading, construction materials, costing, manufacturing and quality
• Strong problem solving, organization and communication skills
• Experience interpreting design intent, offering alternative solutions, and acting as a technical resource
• Expert in writing product specs and construction standards instructions
• Proficient working with factory vendors to ensure and improve manufacturability
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Experience using Adobe Illustrator, CAD Pattern Design software (Optitex) and 3D software (Clo/Browzwear) highly desired
• Proficiency with MS Office programs

Technical Designer/Pattern Engineer Description:

• Own the fit and construction from initial concept through to commercialization and production for assigned styles to lead to on time development and delivery according to critical dates, product specification, and sustainability, performance and profitability goals
• Create and revise Tech Packs for complex assigned styles
• Ensure all appropriate development documentation is maintained including product specs and prototype notes
• Drive and execute fit and construction standards for a team or product group to ensure consistency
• Track and facilitate prototyping for styles
• Identify and address key issues and challenges in construction/manufacturing and plan accordingly to deliver proven and tested product
• Monitor and communicate progress and challenges throughout the product testing process to meet product integrity requirements
• Keep abreast of market trends, team goals, new technologies and consumer needs throughout the development process and engages appropriately to ensure projects are completed within corporate guidelines and goals for all facets of product creation
• Lead the Technical Design of assigned styles product in sportswear
• Work with Design, Product Management and Product Creation Center (Asia) on tailoring the product to the specific consumer needs

About the Role Supply Chain Manager:

Reporting to the CEO, the is responsible to Manage, coordinate, plan, and organize strategic sourcing, purchasing, production and inventory planning, receiving, warehousing, control, and distribution of materials to satisfy distribution needs/service relations as required to accomplish these goals.

The Manager of Supply Chain will be tasked with the identification, development, and completion of significant efficiency/optimization projects. This person will be responsible to work cross functionally within SC as well as WH, and cross functional departments and divisions across the entire business using lean principles, total cost analysis, strong project management skills, and a highly developed to identify major cost saving initiatives, ensure cross functional collaboration, timely project completion and the realization of identified savings. Will be responsible to develop the targets / budget related to Supply Chain, working with others to develop baseline data, savings calculations, monthly tracking and reporting tools as well as the upkeep of all project charters to ensure accurate and timely reporting to CEO and management.

• Oversees and manages 3 warehouse operations and logistics. (i.e., San Fernando, Turlock, and Chicago locations)
• Manages SAP Processes and Data Controls- Run and evaluate metrics in SAP regularly.
• Work with Warehouse Manager and team on reducing shipment/delivery errors and putting necessary actions in place. Work with CSR and to minimize returns or negative customer concerns.
• Improve warehouse efficiency and provide ideas to reduce operations cost
• Ensure an effective and efficient scheduling process to maximize facility resources, inventory, and On-Time Delivery results
• Maintains SOPs with current and proposed new processes
• Completes necessary Activity/KPI Reports for Management
• Coordinates with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations. (i.e. warehouse urgent requests)
• Understand, develop, and implement strategic objectives, capacity status, constraints, needs for growth in support of corporate goals and providing organizational recommendations as required to accomplish these goals
• Develop and maintain company/supplier partnerships based on mutual trust in order to enhance long term and cost-effective availability of materials.
• Establish and implement new, or revisions to, existing procedures to increase and achieve materials management efficiency, asset control, and asset utilization
• Eliminate waste of materials, utilities, staffing, and other company resources wherever possible

The Sr. National Sales Manager for K-12 Bid is the subject matter expert responsible for the national K-12 bid strategy, planning, and execution of our Lactalis Midwest Yogurt, Inc. Portfolio (Yoplait, GoGURT, Trix Yogurt, & Mountain High) within the K-12 segment. This is a highly analytical and technical commercial role focused on maximizing our participation and profitability in all state and national school district bid cycles, aligning our product portfolio with USDA SBP/NSLP/CACFP regulations. This Leader works in close cooperation with the Trade & Finance Teams internally to set the multi-year bid strategy, and is a key influencer to Marketing & R&D to establish the innovation pipeline in the K-12 channel. This Leader also works closely with the K-12 Bid Specialist team at the Broker to execute the strategy flawlessly nationwide in each cycle.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

Bid Strategy & Execution: Develop, manage, and implement a comprehensive multi-year K-12 bid strategy, focusing on the top 250 school districts nationwide. Direct responsibility to call on the top districts across the U.S. with our Broker partners.

Additionally, this role will help manage our Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems to ensure consistent and efficient access to marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities

Influencer and Brand Ambassador Management

• Identify, recruit, and nurture relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors who align with our brand values and audience.
• Develop creative content briefs and ensure timely delivery of influencer campaigns.
• Track and evaluate influencer performance to maximize ROI and strengthen partnerships.

Social Media Management

• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media plan that aligns with our brand goals and campaign initiatives.
• Create, schedule, and publish high-quality content for our social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Twitter (X).
• Monitor social media trends and audience preferences to keep the brand relevant and innovative.
• Analyze performance metrics and create actionable reports to optimize content and campaigns.

Content Creation

• Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to produce engaging photo, video, and written content tailored to individuals and families who embrace the outdoors, regardless of the weather.
• Maintain a consistent brand tone and style that reflects BOGS’ commitment to comfort, durability, and simplicity.
• Coordinate social media campaigns around product launches, events, and promotions.

Digital Asset Management

• Upload, organize, and tag assets in Photoshelter, BOGS Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
• Ensure all assets are up-to-date, accurately categorized, and easily accessible to internal teams and external partners.
• Help organize and upload image assets to Elastic, BOGS sales community tool.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 5 years of professional experience in social media management, influencer marketing, or digital marketing.
• Knowledge of social media advertising tools and analytics, primarily for boosting posts.
• Proficient in content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar. Photography and video capabilities are a major plus.
• Strong organizational skills with experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for outdoor activities and an appreciation for the footwear industry is desired.
