It’s an exciting time to join AS Colour! As we continue to grow across the US, we’re on the hunt for a Finance Manager to jump in and make an impact. You’ll partner with our already incredible global finance crew and take the lead on monthly management reporting for our US entity.

What you will do:

  • Managing a timely compilation of month end closing (GL reconciliations, management accounts) of the US entity.
  • Completing a thorough review of monthly P&L and providing insight into significant movements/variances.
  • Ownership of US Sales tax system (Avalara). Supporting customer service and sales team to resolve customer queries.
  • Ownership of Income and withholding tax preparation and all other necessary tax filings including property taxes. Working closely with external tax accountants where necessary.
  • Preparation and submission of periodic sales tax returns.
  • Scanning, coding, reviewing and approving costs related to these entities in the AP System (Esker).
  • Fixed asset management in the FA system (VIA).
  • Support customer credit application reviews and allocation of credit.
  • Depositing manual checks and applying in ERP.
  • Payroll support where needed.
  • Preparation of annual cost budget.
  • Lead the audit process for the US entity.
  • Provide support by additional tasks relating to financial management of the other AS Colour entities.


What you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting
  • Completed a CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding in Sales Tax, Avalara and Resale Certificate Exemptions is advantageous
  • Demonstrates sound application of accounting concepts and standards, with basic analytical skills. Understanding of IFRS is advantageous.
  • Competency with ERP systems and adapting to new software (Excel – intermediate level).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise a demanding workload.

About the Role Supply Chain Manager:


Reporting to the CEO, the is responsible to Manage, coordinate, plan, and organize strategic sourcing, purchasing, production and inventory planning, receiving, warehousing, control, and distribution of materials to satisfy distribution needs/service relations as required to accomplish these goals.

The Manager of Supply Chain will be tasked with the identification, development, and completion of significant efficiency/optimization projects. This person will be responsible to work cross functionally within SC as well as WH, and cross functional departments and divisions across the entire business using lean principles, total cost analysis, strong project management skills, and a highly developed to identify major cost saving initiatives, ensure cross functional collaboration, timely project completion and the realization of identified savings. Will be responsible to develop the targets / budget related to Supply Chain, working with others to develop baseline data, savings calculations, monthly tracking and reporting tools as well as the upkeep of all project charters to ensure accurate and timely reporting to CEO and management.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Oversees and manages 3 warehouse operations and logistics. (i.e., San Fernando, Turlock, and Chicago locations)

  • Ensure Service, Safety, and Turn over Levels are on target.
  • Track and review warehouse related data, reports and metrics on regular basis and implement process based on the findings to improve process and efficiency.
  • Analyze any and all planning related activities on the cost incurred to the company as a whole and not just Supply Chain team and decide on the appropriate course of action.
  • Understand the annual budget, 3-yr Plan and work with a long term goal in mind.
  • Support the development of supply chain team through project leadership and exposure to sound supply chain principles, including lean.

Production team members are responsible for working in a variety of cheese making production functions to ensure continuous and efficient line operation. Candidates must be able to work over 40 hours per week (weekends are required). This job is physical and fast-paced.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plans and directs daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for bird catching and transportation, ensuring a consistent supply of live poultry for plant processing.
  • Supervises live haul truck drivers and coordinates with contracted catching crews to ensure timely delivery of birds to the plant.
  • Ensures strict adherence to USDA guidelines, animal welfare standards, all safety program, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Manage departmental budgets and strategic objectives, including tracking, record-keeping, and reporting on financial variances.
  • Communicate daily updates, progress, and issues to the processing plant and management. 

 

What You’ll Need

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1 or more years of previous supervisory experience with leadership skills of 20+ employees preferred. Poultry or food industry experience is a plus. Valid CDL preferred.
  • Skills: Effective communication both orally and in writing, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of independent decision-making, must have basic computer knowledge, and an ability to manage multiple priorities.
