SHIFT / SCHEDULE:

The Industrial Engineer is required to work 12-hour shifts, on the following schedule:

- Shift 404: (nights) 6:00PM to 6:00AM, Thursday through Saturday every week and Wednesday through Saturday every other week.
- For example: 36 hours on week 1 (Thursday - Saturday), 48 hours on week 2 (Wednesday - Saturday), 36 hours week 3, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Test Engineering to accelerate new product introductions (NPI) and ensure manufacturing readiness.
- Develop and validate time standards, labor models, and capacity plans to support production ramp and long-term scalability.
- Define workstation requirements, material flow strategies, tooling needs, and shop-floor system configuration (MES/iFactory).
- Support NPI builds, identify bottlenecks, and implement structured corrective actions to improve yield and throughput.
- Conduct time studies and work measurement analysis; maintain accurate and sustainable time standard databases.
- Monitor and improve key operational metrics, including UPH, WIP, lead time, FPY, rework rates, and labor efficiency.
- Lead layout improvements, line balancing efforts, and material handling optimization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain standard work, process documentation, and visual management systems.
- Perform root cause analysis and drive sustainable corrective actions using Lean methodologies (DMAIC, 5-Why, Kaizen).
- Ensure data alignment and configuration accuracy across ERP and manufacturing execution systems (SAP, MES, iFactory).
- Build analytical tools (Excel models, dashboards, and simulations) to support data-driven decision-making.
- Assist in scoping capital equipment needs, developing business justifications, and supporting vendor engagement through implementation.
- Support layout modeling and infrastructure planning for new production lines or facility expansions.

MINIMUM SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 1-2 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience performing time studies, capacity modeling, and production flow optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working in cross-functional production environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.

PREFERRED

- Experience supporting the assembly, testing, and integration of complex electronic hardware infrastructure.
- Experience in high-volume or high-complexity NPI ramp environments.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

Filler Machine operators set up, operate, and maintain machinery, usually in a manufacturing setting. Lactalis' (FMO) is responsible for ensuring the machine produces high-quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.


Shift

1st Shift - Monday - Friday 6 am - 2:30 pm

*One Saturday Shift a Month

Hourly Wage: $21.00

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Operate filling/Packaging equipment, adhering to all quality assurance, productivity, OSHA, and safety standards.
  • Assemble and disassemble equipment for proper cleaning/sanitizing and operating per manufacture instructions
  • Monitor and control the flow of product through machine.
  • Adhere to established testing procedures and provide required samples to the laboratory for appraisal prior to finished product being stored in the warehouse.
  • Maintain food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
  • Required to wear food safety/sanitation clothing.
  • This position necessitates conformance to personal hygiene regulations.
  • Report food safety problems to personal with authority to initiate action.
  • Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Production Operator based in Belmont, Wisconsin. Production team members are responsible for working in a variety of cheese making production functions to ensure continuous and efficient line operation. Candidates must be able to work over 40 hours per week (weekends are required). This job is physical and fast-paced.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

* Meet efficiency budget levels with maintaining a high quality product

* Must remove and load trays/molds

* Stage bascular with appropriate cookie sheets

* Complete repetition task, ensuring the even spread of curd into appropriate mold

* Pull cheese on to draining room tables from chariot

* Ensure all whey pipes are properly hooked up

* Turn cheese in draining rooms

* Run machines (ex: stacker(s), unmolder, rack washer)

* Place racks on unmolding conveyor

* Weigh cheese

* Complete paperwork as assigned, accurately and legible

* Maintain open line of communication with all line workers and room supervisor

* Perform sanitation duties as assigned

* Keep work area clean and organized

* Report production problems and/or concerns to the on duty supervisor

* Attend departmental meetings and training as assigned by the supervisor and/or manager

* Apply the safety rules and ensure they are implemented and followed

* Apply the Good Manufacturing Practices Standard

* Perform other work duties as assigned

Candidate must have the following attributes/skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity, able to push/pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally, be able to stand for entire shift, be able to perform repetitive movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching).
