Excellent Vein Center Physician Opportunity
The UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute provides nationally acclaimed cardiovascular care in south central Pennsylvania. Our high volume, reputable, well supported organization is seeking a new Vein Center Physician due to anticipated retirement of senior physician
This position requires training in the management and care of venous disease, lymphedema and lipedema. Office based procedures include thermal and nonthermal ablation, phlebectomy and sclerotherapy.
About the UPMC Central PA Vein Center:
We are a specialized vein practice open for more than a decade that currently has a staff of 4 talented physicians treating the central and south-central Pennsylvania region. We have recently opened a second location in the past year and both locations are thriving.
Physicians see 15-20 patients a day with a mix of consultations, procedures and follow-up visits. Physicians are supported by a staff of medical assistants, on-site sonographers, registered cardiovascular technicians and registered nurse. We are currently seeking a full time APP to assist as well.
Our physicians performed over 600 procedures (thermal ablations (RF), non-thermal ablation (Varithena, VenaSeal, USGS), Microphlebectomy over the past year.
We recently have obtained new ultrasound equipment for our offices.
Expect to interact closely with our cardiovascular, vascular, and wound care colleagues, who have been recognized at both the state and national levels for providing the highest caliber of patient care.
About the Position:
Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Consultations
- Follow-up visits
- Radiofrequency ablation
- Sclerotherapy
- Compression therapy
- Microphlebectomy

The practice sees patients for, among other conditions:
- Venous insufficiency
- Varicose veins
- Spider veins
- Restless leg syndrome

Position Overview
Partner with Division GM, Area Managers, Asphalt Production Managers, Aggregates Production Managers, Construction and QC Groups to assist and enhance development, supply, and production of suitable quality products to meet specifications for Private, Commercial, and Agency Projects. The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing the quality control work and Technicians within his/her area.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Meets all requirements for Ohio Department of Transportation, Levels 2 and 3 (asphalt), Levels 1, 2 and 3 (aggregate).
- Continually improve operations to take full advantage of Vertical Integration Capabilities and leverage Market Share through Asphalt Mix Optimization and Engineering, implementation of Recycle Materials, and Aggregates.
- Recruit, coach, and develop employees to strengthen work force.
- Demonstrate a hands-on; collaborative approach.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen.

- Exhibit strong verbal communication and listening skills.

- Ensure that QC techs are following QC Plan and Specs.

Position Overview
Oversee and direct operations of a surface aggregate production facility, including safety, personnel, production/inventory management, maintenance planning/forecasting (fixed plant equipment), and partial assumption of P&L responsibility.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

- Ensure that all operations are in full compliance with federal and state regulations, including MSHA,ODNR, EPA, DEP, etc.
- Ensure compliance with The Shelly Company Manual of Safety Practices & Procedures.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and work rules, discipline when necessary and document employee performance issues.
- Enforce company safety rules and conduct safety meetings, including toolbox talks; ensure facilities are operating in a safe manner.
- Supervise and direct facility personnel to ensure proper placement of resources.
- Identify and resolve regulatory, safety, personnel, and production problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure interdepartmental reporting is completed satisfactorily (production reporting, fuel/hour meter readings, environmental/safety reporting, etc.)
- Communicate regularly with all supporting departments (Safety, Environmental, Equipment, Finance, Sales, HR, QC, etc.) and interpret needs to inform business decisions.
- Maintain constant awareness of financial standing of the facility and adapt forecasts to changing business conditions.
- Understand industry standards and best practices for managing a surface aggregate production facility including extraction methods, production strategies, fixed plant equipment operation and maintenance (conveyors, crushers, screeners, electrical systems, etc.).
- Accurately forecast production and maintenance activities as required.
