We are a small Family / Veteran owned and operated company with the mission of providing reliable, affordable and honest service to our customers. As a small, family-owned company, we strive to retain HVAC Lead Installer or Lead Service Manager .
Responsibilities
HVAC lead responsibilities / duties may include but are not limited to:
* Installing new HVAC systems, including ductwork, ventilation, and air conditioning units to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
* Ensuring all necessary materials are onsite for all installs for proper and efficient job completions.
* Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils and changing filters.
* Proficiency with the following: utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems accurately, charging and recovering refrigerant, brazing, pressurizing, vacuuming systems, troubleshooting electrical components, low and high voltage issues, gas furnaces, heat pumps, and first company systems.
* Repairing HVAC systems by replacing defective components, such as capacitors, contactors, transformers, compressors, motors, and thermostats.
* Demonstrate confidence with customer interfacing/social skills
* Properly maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
* Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate installations, repairs, and maintenance activities efficiently.
* Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, and the team as a whole.
* Coach, instruct and train newer technicians on both installation and troubleshooting procedures.
* Assist in interviewing and hiring future employees.
* Properly complete paperwork including invoicing.
* Maintain a clean and professional appearance, including keeping the company truck clean inside and out.
Minimum Qualifications
* 4+ years of HVAC field work experience, HVAC Certification and EPA Certification is desired.
* Able to regularly work 40+ hours per week, starting as early 6am until scheduled jobs are completed. Able to work on call every other weekend.
* Able to work long hours in the heat.
* Able to climb ladders and work in small, confined spaces (attics).
* Have and maintain a driver's license with a good driving record and be insurable by the Company's insurance carrier
* Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
* Have your own tools necessary to complete all HVAC associated tasks
* Ability to do minor/basic handyman tasks.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Positive and enthusiastic.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance, as well as part of a team.
* Ability to handle physical tasks, problem solve and repair systems in a fast paced and demanding environment.
Compensation
* Depending on experience level, we offer a competitive hourly rate of $28-35 per hour, plus a monthly bonus opportunity. Unlike many companies, your bonus is based on providing excellent customer service, not sales.
* Regular overtime opportunities available; especially during the summer.
Benefits
* 40 hours paid sick time; paid out at the end of the year as overtime if not taken
* 80 hours of paid vacation; paid out at the end of the year if not taken
* Paid Holidays; New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
* Due to the seasonal nature of our business, we often have to work Memorial Day, July, 4th, and Labor Day.
