Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person painting estimates and guide clients through the decision process using our proven framework.
• Prospect and self-generate new business through multiple channels (can include door-to-door outreach, networking, social media, referrals, community events, etc. These are recommended channels, but not required.)
• Build and manage a personal sales pipeline in addition to company-generated leads.
• Confirm and manage daily appointments on your calendar.

Requirements

• Proven record of sales success in B2C environments (B2B a plus) — especially in home services.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Paint Line Manager located in Carrollton, TX. The Paint Line Manager will oversee daily paint line operations, manage a team of employees, ensure adherence to quality control standards, and optimize production processes for efficiency. The role also includes responsibility for team training, operational analysis, and maintaining safety and compliance standards in the workplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•  Responsible for promoting, supporting and enforcing the paint department elements of ISO 9001.
• Manage and ensure the efficient operation of the paint department
• Collaborate with paint supervisor to create daily production schedule
• Ensure specifications are met and quality painted parts are produced
• Implement the most cost-effective means of operation meeting safety, quality, and production requirements.
• Implement strategies for cost reduction, process improvement and on-time delivery.
• Direct root cause analysis to reduce or eliminate problems
• Project and monitor staffing needs so as not to delay production
• Oversee the training of employees on the processes of painting methods and operation of equipment
•  Facilitate development of employees through coaching, leading, and training.
•  Ensures safety standards are complied with and employees work in a safe manner.
• Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices
•  Ensure machinery in the paint department is in optimal working order
• Ensure compliance with federal and local government agencies, including OSHA, FAA, DOT, HAZMAT, etc.
• Interface with other departments to resolve issues and strengthen relationships.

Education, Experience and Abilities:

• Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
• Minimum 7 years of heavy manufacturing experience involving Industrial Painting Operation
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 elements and understanding of their applicability to the paint department
• Knowledge and operations of pre-treatment processes of the use of chromium and non-chromium chemicals, waste water treatment processes, collection of samples, and recordkeeping.
• Knowledge of Industrial Architectural Coatings and Horizontal Wet Spraying Painting Processes
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance:  OSHA, TCEQ, EPA, FLSA, AAMA  and applicable  ASTM International Standards
• Previous paint supervisor experience

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Longwood, FL for an Estimator specializing in Painting, Waterproofing, Resinous Flooring, and Fireproofing. In this role, the Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and requirements, preparing accurate quantity takeoffs, quantifying and identifying change orders and collaborating with project managers and clients. Responsibilities also include building relationships with vendors, and obtaining pricing form vendors.

Qualifications that would be of use

• Experience in preparing cost estimates and bid proposals for Painting, Waterproofing, Resinous Flooring, and Fireproofing projects.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills for reviewing project specifications and establishing accurate budgets and timelines.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor negotiations and client interactions.
• Solid knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and industry standards related to specialty contracting services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Prior experience in commercial or industrial contracting industries is a plus.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of any given project. Additionally, the Project Manager ensures budget and deadlines are met and consistent with project standards.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Create a Schedule of Values for our pay applications and submit to the General Contractor.
• Analyze the construction schedule and create a schedule for submittals, material ordering and estimated field labor durations & project completion.
• Create submittals for doors, frames and hardware from architectural plans and specification.
• Manage and respond to electronic contractual changes (RFI’s, PC’s, Etc.). Quote changes that affect our material and/or labor cost. Distribute Change Order Due letters to the contractor.
• Order materials (Purchase orders) from approved submittals for timely delivery according to the construction schedule or as agreed upon with the contractor for billed and stored material.
• Support the Performance Door project field supervisor for the timely delivery of materials according to the construction schedule. Send field use drawings periodically reflecting updated schedules incorporating project revisions.
• Provide monthly pay application to the accounting department including back up documentation for stored or FSC materials.
• Actively pursue contractual “Change Orders” from “price and proceed” CO Due letters. Take an active role in collecting money.
• Approve weekly vendor invoices for payment. Check vendor costs against our purchase order.
• Other job duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

Must-Haves:

• 3+ years of experience in field sales, outside sales, or home service-based business development

• Basic knowledge of project scoping or estimating (or willingness to learn)
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Familiarity with the Metro Detroit area

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in painting, roofing, landscaping, or construction industry

• CRM experience or comfort with sales tracking tools

Ahern Painting Contractors is seeking Quality Control Inspectors. As a QC Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating coating and surface preparation activities for various industrial projects. This position requires an understanding of coating inspection techniques, surface preparation methods, and industry standards. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of coating and surface preparation activities in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and NACE guidelines.
• Perform visual examinations, ambient condition monitoring, and thickness measurements to ensure compliance with coating specifications.
• Document inspection results, including photographs and detailed reports, and maintain accurate records of inspections.
• Collaborate with project managers, inspectors, and supervisors to address any coating-related issues and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Monitor and ensure proper storage, handling, and application of coatings and related materials.
• Participate in meetings and discussions with clients and other stakeholders to provide technical expertise and address any coating-related concerns.
• Stay updated with industry developments, advancements, and best practices in coating inspection and surface preparation techniques.

Qualifications

• AMPP CIP Level 1 (formerly NACE, SSPC) certification preferred
• Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector or similar role preferred
• Knowledge of coating inspection techniques, surface preparation methods, and industry standards.
• Familiarity with various coating types, application methods, and coating failure analysis.
• Proficient in using coating inspection tools and equipment, such as thickness gauges, adhesion testers, and holiday detectors.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
• Prior experience in industrial projects, such as oil and gas, marine, or infrastructure, is preferred.
• Physical fitness and willingness to work in various environments and heights.
