SUMMARY: Identifies and segregates defective material within individual slit rolls. Combines leftover good material into finished rolls and palletizes for shipment to the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Facilitate on the job training and instruction for team members on the correct use of tools and equipment to ensure proper safety and operating procedures are followed.
- Mounts slit rolls of product onto shaft of machine using lift cart. Removes rolls as well.
- Sets up and makes necessary adjustments to the machine.
- Must be able to identify defects and splice good material together per spec.
- Reads and understands specs of products being run. Must know packaging materials required for palletizing finished product also. Occasionally uses hand tools to prepare packaging materials.
- Completes daily production reports.
- Operates stretch wrap machine to wrap finished pallets.
- Regularly cleans machine and surrounding area.
- Actively participates in safety programs and makes safety observations. Follows plant safety rules.

Position Responsibilities:
Obtain daily work assignments from the team leader or supervisor and review work orders and blueprints to determine required tasks.

Perform and witness leak checks, determining the source of leaks and evaluating the extent of repairs required.

Initiate and document any nonconforming materials or assemblies according to specifications and procedures.

Review manufacturing plans and other documentation for completeness and compliance, identifying any discrepancies.
Inspect mockups of engineering design changes to ensure adherence to specifications.
Perform line checks to investigate whether rejectable conditions exist on other assemblies or airplanes.
Indicate Quality Assurance acceptance by stamping the appropriate paperwork and processing completed records.
Review previously accepted systems, customer requirements, or FAA conformities to determine if re-inspection is required.
Work with engineering and the FAA on red label equipment to ensure proper segregation from production parts.

Completes reports for institutional staff on inmates who may manifest sudden bizarre behavior or thoughts, insomnia, psychosomatic complaints, suicidal preoccupations, depression, somnambulism, anxiety, situational crisis, or long-term disciplinary and segregation cases, etc. Conducts individual treatment and crisis intervention sessions on an as needed or emergency basis. Responsible for providing assessment and referral services for staff referred to psychology services by their supervisors or for staff personally requesting assistance with problems of alcohol use, drug use, or emotional problems which are affecting job performance. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staffs' correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician III assists licensed pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy performing the duties described in the Technician II position description as well as serving as a role model for other technicians through added responsibilities, specialization in technician pharmacy practice, demonstrating leadership and initiative, and fulfilling the needs of the department.
The Technician III is actively involved in the training and development process and the development of policies and procedures specific to their practice site and is responsible for the daily technical operations of the area. The Technician III must have the capacity to work effectively and efficiently in areas routinely requiring a higher degree of prolonged technical concentration, liability, and risk.

Required Job Qualifications:
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Current State of Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.
• Individual must have EXCPT and/or PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification.
• Individuals licensed BEFORE January 1, 2008 are grandfathered; they are not required to become nationally certified or hold the "Certified" designation to continue working as a registered pharmacy technician in Illinois.
• At least 6 months of previous experience as a pharmacy technician.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Two years of college training or its equivalent.
• ACPE IV certification.
• Hazardous drug compounding certification.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift/move 30-50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long period of time (4+ hours) between breaks.
• Ability to crouch when filling dispensing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
• May be exposed to certain hazardous materials, including but not limited to chemotherapeutic agents.

• Responsible for utilization of Epic for technical requests (i.e.: missing mediations, ADC out of stock and responding to in-basket messages)

• Responsible for training and compliance with USP , USP , USP , and aseptic technique practices when preparing sterile and non-sterile products:
• Recognizes incompatible, unstable and/or expired compounded products.
• Maintains all required documentation of compounded products and production areas for sterile and non-sterile products.
• Recognizes investigational drug orders and documentation requirements for preparation and use.
• Responsible for exchanging emergency carts and completion of required documentation..
• Responsible for knowing the laws and regulations related to controlled substances.
• Maintain cleanliness of all equipment and work areas.
• Knowledge of departmental and Medical Center safety practices.
• Awareness of departmental quality assurance processes.
