Job Description
As part of the ANR IT Service Desk team, responsible for division-wide support of computer hardware, software, mobile devices, and a broad range of technology. Key activities include phone and in-person support installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, network connectivity, file management, backups and restoration, maintenance, and security of ANR IT systems (tools). Responsible for assisting clients with technical problems and helping assess needs and purchase computers, software, and mobile devices. Provide support for all enterprise software applications in use by ANR including, but not limited to, email, content management systems, blogs, surveys, financial systems, computer software, web and video conferencing, and a wide variety of other software. Provide training, documentation, and instruction on the use of all kinds of technology at ANR. Serve as backup support for application, system, and network administration duties to help ensure continuous operation of ANR IT services. The Opportunity:
UCF Information Technology (UCF IT) is seeking a Cloud Computing Engineer I to join the Infrastructure team and apply technical expertise to maintain UCF's cloud computing environment. The Cloud Computing Engineer I will support cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, VMware, and Google Cloud, with a focus on software-defined networking and zero-trust architectures.
The Cloud Computing Engineer I will follow documentation and best practices, consult with internal customers on new projects and implementations, and collaborate with multiple teams and departments during new Azure cloud initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Respond to service requests and incidents related to Azure cloud infrastructure. Fulfill routine infrastructure requests including virtual machine provisioning, storage allocation, and network configurations. Troubleshoot basic issues and escalate complex problems to senior engineers as appropriate.
Perform routine infrastructure builds and deployments in Azure, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and other cloud resources. Follow established templates, runbooks, and best practices to ensure consistent and secure deployments across environments.
Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and cost metrics using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and related tools. Build and maintain dashboards to visualize key performance indicators. Alert appropriate teams when thresholds are exceeded or anomalies are detected.
Use and help maintain script repositories for common Azure functions using PowerShell, Terraform, and other Infrastructure as Code tools. Execute automation scripts for routine tasks, contribute to script improvements, and document procedures for team use.
Adhere to UCF Infrastructure ITIL processes, such as request and change management procedures, ensuring all planned changes are properly reviewed, documented, and communicated. Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize disruption and ensure smooth implementation of changes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of cloud configurations, procedures, standards, and operational guidelines. Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives by creating and updating technical documentation in the team wiki and knowledge base.
Assist with cloud security and compliance tasks, including reviewing access permissions, supporting audit requests, and helping to remediate findings from security assessments. Follow established security policies and best practices for Azure environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree oran equivalent combination of education and experiencepursuant toFla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and virtual networks.
Proficiency using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and dashboard creation for performance and cost monitoring.
Ability to troubleshoot Azure infrastructure issues and escalate appropriately within a support tier model.
Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially request, incident, and change management.
Ability to follow established runbooks, templates, and deployment standards to ensure consistent, secure cloud builds.
Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Terraform, or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for automation and script maintenance.

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach Electrical Engineering or Computer Science courses should an opening arise. These are not tenure-track positions - selected candidates will hold the title of Lecturer. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the department. Due to budget restrictions, no funding is available for visa or relocation expenses.
In addition to lecturing responsibilities, general duties for these positions include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g. syllabus), and maintaining a course website.
The department seeks candidates who can support the success of all students through inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy in higher education through their teaching. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-earning assistant professor or tenured associate professor with an expected start date of December 23, 2026.
We seek visionary scholars in the area of RF and Microwave Circuits and Systems. This position presents an exceptional opportunity for the successful candidate to lead innovation in high-frequency electronics-ranging from 5G/6G communications and IoT to specialized RF systems for spaceborne and extreme-environment applications.
The successful candidate will leverage UCF's proximity to the aerospace and defense industries to bridge the gap between academic research and the burgeoning commercial space industry. Given the scale of our programs, this is a unique opportunity to shape the future workforce by training and mentoring the next generation of engineers through our comprehensive undergraduate and graduate programs.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have demonstrated a strong record of scholarly excellence, as evidenced by impactful publications and innovative contributions, and who show clear potential to build and sustain a robust, externally funded research program. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to high-quality teaching at all levels and to collaborate across disciplines to strengthen UCF's global leadership in electromagnetics and circuit design.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with experience and academic achievements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in electrical engineering, or other closely related disciplines at the time of appointment. Applicants must have a strong research track record supported by quality publications.
To be eligible for appointment as a tenured associate professor upon hire, the selected candidate must have a demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of associate professor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Past work experience in academia with strong funding record is desirable. A demonstrated record of teaching/training experience is of interest.
