POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Safety Manager to oversee the quality control processes and manage Environmental, health, and Safety (SSHO) duties within our construction projects, particularly those related to federal contracts. The QA/QC Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality and EHS standards and regulations and implementing quality & EHS management systems to achieve project objectives. Project will be at military base. Must have military construction experience for serious consideration. Must have prior experience with design-build projects and project delivery for serious consideration.

- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for construction projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Lead and manage quality control by providing guidance and support to ensure effective quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including reports, records, and compliance certifications.

- Ensuring EM385 and other relevant regulatory or compliance requirements are met.

- Work closely with subcontractors by reviewing high risk activity of work scopes and providing support to ensure teams are informed about safety protocols/procedures specific to project.
- Verifying all workers are oriented, have proof of training for scope of work, and ensures team members are well-informed about safety protocols and procedures specific to the project.
- Actively participate in regular Environmental, Health, and Safety inspections, identifying potential hazards/compliance issues and promptly addressing them to mitigate risks.
- Leads the safety committee, collaborating with other team members to develop and implement effective safety measures.
- Conducting investigations, gathering relevant data - propose time-bound action items.
- Maintain and update all safety-related paperwork including hazardous materials, inspections, pre-task plans, and permits.
- Maintain, update, and practice Emergency Action Plan and call trees to ensure efficiency.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Monitor site general conditions and plan with site team to ensure risks related to items such as walk paths, lighting, access, weather are accounted for.
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to EHS management in construction or related field preferred

- 10+ years of relevant construction experience (3+ years of QC management)
- Active CQM cert
- Well-versed in 3 phases of quality control.
- Proven experience as a QC Manager on multiple DOD projects exceeding $10M
- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Fire Inspection & Emergency Preparedness
- Coordinate monthly fire drills, annual fire inspections, emergency preparedness drills,

- Maintain and oversee the company Emergency Preparedness Manual and prepare required Department of Human Services filings.

Takeda's Round Lake site, located in the greater Chicago area, is a key part of our global Plasma Operating Unit. The manufacturing site specializes in the aseptic fill-finish of plasma-derived therapies, including Flexbumin, using our proprietary GALAXY manufacturing technology. With high-capacity filling lines operating around the clock, the site plays a vital role in delivering life-saving treatments to patients worldwide. About the role
As a Manufacturing Associate Manager, you will implement and supervise daily manufacturing activities to deliver production commitments on time—while maintaining strong alignment with cGMP, EHS, and applicable regulatory requirements. You will oversee operations within your scope including aseptic filling, initial inspection, pasteurization, and unloading, drive progress against site priorities, and role-model Takeda values and PTRB decision-making (Patient, Trust, Reputation, Business) through visible, values-based leadership.
How you will contribute
- Deliver daily manufacturing performance to meet production targets, deadlines, and commitment dates across your operational scope.
- Plan and allocate resources across Filling, Inspection, Pasteurization, and Unloading to maintain flow; manage production activities within the Inspection area to ensure manufacturing goals are met.
- Lead escalations and issue resolution by coordinating timely actions with support groups to minimize delays and protect the production schedule.
- Maintain compliance and inspection readiness by implementing and sustaining systems aligned with cGMP, EHS, FDA, and site requirements, and ensuring full adherence to established procedures for high-quality therapeutic product manufacturing.
- Champion continuous improvement by applying DMAIC and Lean/Six Sigma problem-solving tools to improve safety, quality, yield, and throughput, and leading initiatives that elevate site capabilities.
- Build team capability and performance through coaching/mentoring, equitable people leadership, and development practices such as Quality Conversations.
- Ensure training completion by assigning and verifying on-time training for the shift team (including cGMP, safety, and job skills).
- Drive disciplined execution by ensuring projects, action items, and deliverables are completed by their commitment dates.
- Own shift communication by being present at shift handovers and ensuring effective transition to the incoming shift.
- Lead tiered accountability routines by chairing Tier 1 meetings for the area and serving as backup for Tier 2 when needed.
- Support investigations and timelines by participating in QA and EHS incident investigations and ensuring teams meet investigation timelines and commitments.
- Represent the department in meetings, audits, and projects; lead and coordinate facilities GEMBA with partners (Facilities Engineering, QA, Maintenance, etc.) to maintain high standards.

About the role
As a Manufacturing Associate Manager, you will implement and supervise daily manufacturing activities to deliver production commitments on time—while maintaining strong alignment with cGMP, EHS, and applicable regulatory requirements. Job Summary
Under the direction of the Lead Manufacturing Supervisor, the Focus Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing manufacturing personnel, production safety, and all aspects of manufacturing in a team environment. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
Essential Functions:
- Read and communicate through email for general direction, priorities, items to be addressed, and general company information.
- Interact, collaborate, and review daily status with the previous shift to understand current floor conditions (down presses, changeovers, production or personnel issues, special instructions).
- Develop daily schedule of work assignments and break schedules for the shift. Manage the labor headcount to remain current with floor conditions and ensure no excess labor or overtime is accumulated.
- Manage, schedule, and certify the proper execution of all production changeover and cavitation block activities (Setup Changeover, Work order changeover, material changeover, etc.)
- Lead and interact with shift staff to provide direction, feedback, expectations, employee relations, coaching, and accountability. (Gemba meetings, Tech meetings, Supervisor Meetings, Huddle meetings, Stand downs, etc.)
- Develop, create, and publish shift notes to convey information about daily operations and execution plans.
- Ensure all employees are wearing and using the appropriate PPE and following all safety procedures. Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a condition of employment.
- Identify, investigate, and report all EHS or property damage incidents, accidents, or near misses through the Clarity system and email communication as appropriate.
- Run Production Report, review, and evaluate shift performance. Use Mattec and other means and metrics to monitor and respond to scrap, Downtime, regrind, cycle, and schedule adherence.
- Maintain a cultural awareness to uphold housekeeping standards and adherence to 5S organizational efforts with safety and quality in mind.
- Attend, evaluate, and manage all press process interruptions to assure comprehensive, appropriate, and timely response.
- Conduct an area walk-through of the production floor at the beginning and end of each shift with the adjacent shift Supervisor to coordinate acceptable handoff conditions and promote communication of floor expectations.
- Complete on Layered Process Audit per day as assigned by the provided press audit schedule. Audits to be completed electronically with the OGP Audit application via cellphone.
- Submit production and process deviations, IT Helpdesk tickets, maintenance work orders, Dayforce entries for promotions, transfers, hiring, termination, etc.
- Conduct accurate and complete production review and sign-off of product and process as required.
- Responsible for time & attendance, completing performance/competency evaluations, competency/training logs, providing feedback, motivation, and disciplinary actions for employees in assigned department(s). Provide performance feedback to the team and work to continually develop their skills. Support career development plans for the team.
- Engage with new employees through the onboarding process to ensure they have a positive experience. Ensure they receive effective training, and completion of the training documentation is thorough and on time.
- Maintain IATF16949/ISO14001 documentation for the production floor.
Other Functions
- Participate in the Hold process through evaluation, investigation, and management of Hold activities and red bin review.
- Randomly verify that team members are completing box, bag, and water checks and documentation appropriately.
- Assist cell members with answering machine and auxiliary equipment alarms, changing bags, training co-workers on troubleshooting of problems, and/or calling support department personnel for assistance.
- Oversee the general housekeeping of the production areas and ensure that supplies are in the appropriate places. Assure machines and equipment are kept clean.

Takeda is seeking a Production Operations Group Lead to supervise activities in the initial inspection, pasteurization, and incubator production areas at our Round Lake, Illinois manufacturing facility. $70,000.00 - $110,000.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. Job Description
About the role:
Takeda is seeking a Production Operations Group Lead to supervise activities in the initial inspection, pasteurization, and incubator production areas at our Round Lake, Illinois manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Associate Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring manufacturing goals are achieved while maintaining compliance with cGMP, EHS, and other applicable regulatory requirements. You will drive the efficient use of raw materials, equipment, and workforce resources to deliver high-quality products safely and effectively.
This role is assigned to Night Shift (A/B – 5:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.) on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.
How you will contribute:
- Monitor labor and capital spending. Recommend improvements to manufacturing policies, procedures, and programs.
- Provide guidance, support, and leadership through positive daily interactions with employees.
- Supervise daily production, scheduling, staffing, material management, compliance, training, and audits to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Review and approve batch and system records. Support product release timing goals.
- Ensure staff complete training on time and follow manufacturing processes in compliance with cGMP and EHS requirements.
- Lead simple process improvement projects. Provide manufacturing input for new equipment and process integration and validation.
- Resolve technical, material, and cGMP issues that may affect deadlines. Provide troubleshooting support during process deviations.
- Represent the company during FDA inspections.
- Conduct daily gemba walks to support employee engagement and reinforce safety and GMP practices.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles in simple situations with ongoing coaching.
- Conduct basic auditing tasks under supervision.
- Troubleshoot simple problems with ongoing coaching.
What you bring to Takeda:
- High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience; or a bachelor's degree in science or engineering, or a related technical field with 2+ years of related experience
- Ability to work effectively across departments and contribute to team leadership in a collaborative environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and documentation skills, with a focus on customer service and safe performance under pressure.
- Understanding of cGMP and other regulatory requirements relevant to the pharmaceutical or medical industry.
- Understanding and can apply key concepts of Continuous Improvement Process with support.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel.
- Experience working in an FDA regulated environment preferred.
Important Considerations:
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:
- Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
- Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
- Work in a cold, wet environment.
- Work multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
- Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
- Must be willing and able to work aligned shift.
- Must be able to carry up to 30 lbs., lift up to 30lbs, push/pull up to 30lbs (with assistance of material handling equipment).
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for an extended period over an 8–12-hour shift between rooms and across the site.
- Indoor working conditions.
- Will work around moving equipment and machinery.
- May be required to work in a confined area.
