* Previous experience in an office and/or optical dispensing is preferred

* Able to handle multiple customer interactions/phone calls at a time

* Able to work with patient eyewear needs including analyzing prescriptions, repairs and adjustments and lifestyle dispensing

Position Summary

As a Laser Operator, you will set up and operate fabrication and CNC equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials to precise specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate fabrication equipment such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses

  • Accurately measure and cut materials to meet production specifications

  • Operate CNC machines to achieve required parts-per-hour production goals

  • Perform basic machine setups, including changing punches, dies, bits, and saw blades

  • Read and interpret blueprints and measurement tools (tape measures, calipers)

  • Rotate between workstations as production needs require

  • Maintain machinery by cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components

  • Assist with inventory control, both physically and within systems

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams

  • Follow all safety standards and hold others accountable to the same

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support safety, quality, and production goals

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of metal cutting and punching processes preferred

  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Willingness to learn CNC programming and machine operation

  • Ability to communicate with technical support teams and equipment technicians

  • Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus (or willingness to be trained)

  • Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment

  • Must be able to communicate in English
