Job Duties

JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), or equivalent degree

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager will be placed in roles with responsibility for leading the planning and implementation of projects for our client’s customers. This will include managing the order lifecycle from receipt of purchase order through completion of contract. They will define the goals, project tasks, and resource requirements for successful on-time project completion while maintaining excellent relationships with customers. Key Responsibilities:
As Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the full scope of metals distribution center activities, including:
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of warehouse associates, material handlers, and shipping/receiving personnel across multiple shifts
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics for a broad range of steel products including coil, flat-rolled sheet, plate, structural, bar, and wire products
- Drive throughput, on-time shipping performance, and order accuracy while maintaining a culture of safety and accountability
- Coordinate closely with sales, operations, and procurement teams to align inventory levels with customer demand and delivery timelines
- Oversee steel processing, slitting, cutting, and value-added services as applicable to daily production requirements
- Conduct daily floor walks, toolbox talks, and shift briefings to communicate priorities, resolve bottlenecks, and enforce standard operating procedures
- Maintain accurate inventory records utilizing warehouse management system (WMS) and ERP platforms; perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and facility-specific safety standards including proper handling of heavy coils, plate, and bar stock via overhead cranes and forklifts
- Implement and sustain 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency
- Evaluate staffing requirements, participate in hiring and onboarding, and manage performance reviews and disciplinary actions
- Serve as a key point of escalation for customer service issues related to order status, short shipments, and product quality concerns
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–7 years of supervisory or management experience within a steel service center, metals distribution facility, or heavy industrial warehouse environment
- Demonstrated experience overseeing teams of 5–20 or more employees in a high-volume distribution or manufacturing setting
- Hands-on knowledge of steel product categories including hot-rolled and cold-rolled coil, carbon and alloy plate, structural shapes, wire rod, and bar
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, pick/pack, shipping, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt quickly in a dynamic distribution environment
- Experience with overhead crane operations, forklift certification, and safe handling of heavy metal products

Preferred Background:
Candidates with direct experience at a full-line metals service center or national steel distributor are strongly preferred. Working conditions & physical requirements
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts associated with working in a warehouse environment, which requires heightened safety precautions typical of loading/receiving docks and high-volume inventory management operations, e.g., use of safe work practices with light to heavy equipment, while utilizing forklifts and pallet jacks, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations, etc. Exposure to occasional fumes and odors and/or temperature fluctuations (25 degrees to 105 degrees Fahrenheit) is possible.
The position requires some physical exertion and the able to perform the basic lifting and system tasks for all warehouse functions and departments including receiving, put away, picking, packing, cycle counting, order checking and shipping. The work requires the repetitively lifting of cartons weighing 10 to 55 pounds, standing/walking for 6 to 12 hours a day, and climbing up and down stairs and ladders.

What You’ll Do
- Support business process improvement projects across Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, New Product Development, and Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning
- Help plan, coordinate, and execute cross-functional initiatives
- Build and maintain project schedules, milestone trackers, meeting documentation, process maps, standard operating procedures, and role/responsibility documentation
- Assist with current-state assessments, future-state process design, root cause analysis, and implementation planning
- Gather information from stakeholders, organize findings, and help translate business needs into actionable next steps
- Support improvements tied to enterprise systems such as Oracle or SAP
- Prepare reports, dashboards, status updates, presentations, and analysis to support decision-making
- Help identify process gaps, workflow inefficiencies, and opportunities for simplification or automation
- Participate in working sessions and help keep projects moving forward across multiple stakeholders
- Contribute to training, documentation, and change adoption efforts as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 2 to 4+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, consulting, project coordination, operations, finance transformation, process improvement, supply chain, or related work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate effectively with limited structure and shifting priorities
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with a range of stakeholders
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities at once
- Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn quickly
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, finance, accounting, engineering, supply chain, information systems, economics, computer science, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to business process improvement, transformation, operational excellence, or internal consulting work
- Experience with Oracle, SAP, or other enterprise platforms
- Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, or other reporting and project coordination tools
- Exposure to manufacturing, custom product environments, or complex business operations is helpful
- Interest in artificial intelligence tools and how they can improve workflows is a plus

Position Description As an Applebee's Assistant Manager, you will be engaged in all aspects of the day-to-day operations at the restaurant.

- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit.

- Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff.
- Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards.
- Maintains departmental inventory levels.
- Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks.
- Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands.
- Maintains effective safety and security programs.
- Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation.
- Performs routine maintenance and immediately reports to the General Manager/Area Director of needed repairs.
- Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates.
- Promotes Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers.
- Helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems.
- Participates in the constant development of employees using One-on-One and performance documentation, and contributes to the completion of written evaluations.
- Assesses the efficiency of employees, provides fair feedback on a regular basis, and continuously works with employees on their areas of development.
- Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations that require or could lead to disciplinary or corrective action.
- Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures.
- Responsible for controlling cost in assigned department.
- Compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.
- Drives bi-weekly / weekly food and liquor inventories at the AD/GM's request and is accountable for completion.
- Responsible for preparing and submitting accurate daily paperwork.
- Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards.
- Provides a role model for managers and employees.
- Develops self on all store related technology.
- Must be willing and able to work in all positions and assist in a team member position as needed when in a restaurant.
This includes cooking on the line, expo, seating guests, bartending, etc.
- Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies.
Education and Experience
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications also a plus Physical Standards: Must have the ability to:
- Work various shifts ranging in hours, including weekends.
- Stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to ten (10) hours in length.
- Safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc.
up to 50 pounds in weight.
- Read and write to facilitate communication.
Must possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
