The Retirement Plan Advisor assists individuals in achieving a successful retirement and planning their financial future through group and individual presentations to new and existing defined contribution Government 457 plan participants. This role uses data-driven, analytical thinking to lead impactful conversations with participants, meets client service level agreements and achieves annual targets as assigned. This position will also assist the Relationship Management team in effectively establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within the territory assigned.
This Advisor will work with public employees in NE Ohio and must be based in this territory and able to travel as necessary.
What you will do
Conduct Retirement Readiness Reviews, as well as other individual meetings and group presentations, with targeted participants using consultative expertise to improve retirement outcomes
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders for each location within assigned territory or for assigned employer-sponsored plans
Conduct one-on-one virtual and on-site group meeting by using various technologies in a professional manner
Manage meeting schedule, including travel booking
Create and execute dynamic business plans and tactics to drive positive retirement income objectives for participants
Document interactions in Salesforce and collect required information to adhere to guidelines for regulatory compliance
Achieve plan level and individual goals to help achieve service level agreements and business results
Participate in client meetings, sales finals, or other external meetings as needed
Work collaboratively across internal service and management teams to improve effectiveness
What you will bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree
3 – 5 years relevant financial services experience
Strong presentation skills required
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams required
Strategic thinker who can work independently required

FINRA Series 6, 63, 65 registrations required within established timeline; current FINRA registrations strongly preferred

Base Salary Range
$72,200.00 - $101,975.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Product Strategy & Roadmap Development
- Define and own the strategic product roadmap for both DTC and B2B e-commerce channels, aligning initiatives with company objectives and market opportunities

- Develop and communicate product vision and strategy to executive leadership and cross-functional teams

Prioritization & Planning
- Establish and maintain a data-driven prioritization framework to evaluate and sequence product initiatives based on business impact, customer value, and technical feasibility
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning activities in collaboration with engineering teams
- Make difficult trade-off decisions between competing priorities while managing stakeholder expectations
- Define success metrics and KPIs for each initiative and track progress against goals
Requirements Development & Documentation
- Translate business objectives and user needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Create wireframes, user flows, and functional specifications to clearly communicate product vision to design and engineering teams
- Leverage technical background to assess technical feasibility and provide meaningful input on architecture and implementation approaches
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive and seamless user experiences across web and mobile platforms
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, operations, customer success, and executive leadership
- Facilitate alignment meetings, product reviews, and decision-making forums with cross-functional partners
- Communicate product updates, roadmap changes, and progress transparently and regularly
- Manage expectations and negotiate scope, timelines, and resource allocation across competing priorities
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with engineering, design, and QA teams throughout the product development lifecycle
- Lead product discovery sessions, design sprints, and retrospectives to continuously improve processes
- Serve as the voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for user-centric solutions

Performance & Optimization

Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of product management experience, preferably in e-commerce / retail domain
- Prior experience as a software developer or software engineer (minimum 2-3 years preferred)
- Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling digital products from concept to market
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder product initiatives with competing priorities
- Demonstrated success in building and executing strategic product roadmaps
Technical Skills
- Strong technical acumen with ability to understand system architecture, APIs, databases, and integrations

As this position requires driving a company vehicle, a pre-employment drug test and clean driving record are required, as is a DOT physical.
