MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Champion the mission and goals of the residency program and sponsoring institution.
- Ensure compliance with ACGME Institutional, Common, and Family Medicine Program Requirements, maintaining full accreditation status.
- Develop and maintain a high-quality curriculum aligned with ACGME standards, State of California guidelines, and board certification expectations, including achievement of an >80% board pass rate and above-average in-training exam scores.
- Provide mentorship and oversight to teaching faculty, including annual performance evaluations and professional development opportunities in evidence-based teaching and evaluation methods.
- Recruit, retain, and mentor a diverse, high-performing group of residents who embody excellence in whole-person care, scholarship, professionalism, and leadership.
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment where residents can provide feedback and raise concerns confidentially and without retaliation.
- Oversee the residency budget and ensure resources meet ACGME and institutional requirements, while demonstrating financial stewardship.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community-based and academic teaching institutions to enhance curriculum, faculty development, and resident education.
- Serve as an institutional leader and advocate for graduate medical education within Adventist Health Bakersfield and the broader community.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted California medical license
- Board certified in Family Medicine
- Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine residency program
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in family medicine
- At least 2 years as a core faculty member in an ACGME accredited family medicine residency program
- Current medical licensure and appropriate medical staff appointment.
- Ongoing clinical activity.

Family Medicine Program Director in Kentucky! A family medicine residency program is seeking a director for its new program.
The first academic semester will begin in the summer of 2017.
The program director will assist in continuing the development of the program and acquiring accreditation with ACGME.
This university-sponsored program will host 6 resident slots per year (total of 18).
The program director will have an academic appointment from the university.
Ideally, the candidate will be BC with experience in starting a residency program before, as well as experience serving as the program director, with 2 years of faculty experience.
There is already a program coordinator in place, but the program director will have heavy influence over the academic team.

Role description:
The Project Lead the Way (PLTW) internship program is a unique initiative to equip our future engineers and plant leaders within the company with the experiences and skills to make them successful within Ardagh Glass Packaging. It is designed to provide solid glass experience for hands-on individuals who are seeking a career in manufacturing. The objective of the internship program is to translate PLTW theoretical knowledge into broad manufacturing experience and provide a sound understanding of the glass composition and production process including technical, quality, and safety skills.
Job Responsibilities:
The program will consist of project assignments that will lay a strong foundation for future careers in manufacturing, helping members become familiar with glass manufacturing operations.
- Become assimilated into the Ardagh Glass Packaging organization by participating in a comprehensive orientation program
- Be assigned to a mentor within Ardagh Glass Packaging
- Be exposed to and work on special projects (50%~ of the workload) to help the plants meet goals and leverage learning from work experiences
- Present an end-of-internship summary to the Ardagh Glass Packaging executive leadership team
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to complete a 3-month internship from May-August 2026
- Cumulative GPA of a 2.6
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of PLTW coursework
- Ambition to pursue a career in the manufacturing industry
Work Environment:
