We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, highly organized individual to join the Estimating team to provide all facets of construction project support, including submittal processing, material management, and budget analysis.

Key Functions:
- Prepare cost estimates for projects as per company business model and industry standards
- Collaborate with project management staff and external design firms on design-build proposals
- Attend pre-qualification events and site visits as required
- Manage, oversee, or perform take-offs, evaluations, and quantity surveys
- Participate and contribute to meetings with estimating staff and operations teams
- Analyze bid documents to determine the scope of work and prepare the bid in compliance with Owners' requirements
- Communicate and maintain relationships with subcontractors
- Solicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals
- Prepare all Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Suggest value engineering options and costs
- Work with project management teams throughout the project lifecycle, including pre-construction functions and change orders
- Mentor junior members of the estimating department
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of estimating experience in underground transmission & distribution, district, and substations
- Bachelor’s Degree Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field is a plus
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software systems (HCSS Heavy Bid, Accubid, Quickpen, etc.)
- Able to work independently or with a team to complete estimates or proposals efficiently while meeting deadlines
- Effective communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, and a strong work ethic

THE ROLE:
The Project Manager will be the overall project leader on assigned projects. You will plan and oversee all phases of energy projects with the objective of successful on-time completions within budgets while ensuring that customer satisfaction stays at the highest levels. Projects include a combination of energy efficiency measures and renewable generation installations to help local cities, schools, municipalities, and other customers become more sustainable, save money, and improve services to their end users. The expectation is that you will simultaneously run one or several projects from early development through construction.
You will work with the sales team participating in customer presentations, and you will work with our engineering development team, subcontractors, and consultants to develop cost effective solutions. The role will then transition to a more traditional role managing projects across our portfolio of customers and energy conservations solutions.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, possess excellent communications skills, and be detail oriented. You must have a genuine passion for building innovative energy reduction solutions and must want to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide constructability review of scopes during project development.
Oversee project deliverables and contractual obligations.
Oversee project team including subcontractors and consultants.
Create, maintain, and manage project schedules, labor plans, and project documents.
Oversee AHJ, DSA, and utility and special inspections to ensure projects receive all necessary permit sign-offs.
Visit active sites to witness and partake in key milestones and ensure progress and quality.
Work with internal and external Procurement resources to contract the project scope across various suppliers.
Develop and maintain multi-month budget/forecasting revenue and payment forecasts.
Manage payment terms and balances with customers and sub-contractors.
Create Schedule of Values (SOV) on all assigned projects in order to maintain positive cash flow.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The is a hybrid position that will require travel to the company headquarters in Belle Vernon, PA on at least a quarterly basis. The candidate is responsible for prospecting and selling Fleet Solutions services to regional trucking companies located throughout the United States. The candidate will also be responsible for servicing an established base of customers. The function of the sales position is to initiate phone contact with transportation / trucking companies, uncover their fueling needs, and build a plan to sign them as a customer or convert their fleet cards to Fuelman or Pacific Pride. The person in this role will also handle new account set-ups including credit applications, card orders, and basic account maintenance functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Call commercial fleet businesses over the phone to uncover new prospective candidates for Guttman Fleet Solutions services. The prospecting process will include e-mail communication and periodic face-to-face scheduled meetings.
- Develop a strong understanding of the fleet card industry, competitor’s product offerings, and the specific fueling needs of trucking companies with 5 to 150 vehicles.
- Schedule conference calls and in-person appointments with owners, CFO’s, and transportation managers to uncover existing fleet card pains and build a sales plan to convert their fleet card business.
- Maintain and update all contact information and prospecting notes within Dynamics data base and prepare sales prospect activity reports for supervisor on a weekly basis.

- Must be fully qualified and capable of working directly with project management to understand and evaluate scheduled electrical work needed to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Must be capable of performing all duties associated with the crew lead position and in addition.
- Must be able to self-prepare for all scopes of electrical work needed by evaluating pictures from site assessment and communicating directly with the project management and design team about any necessary changes or improvements to the electrical plan set. These changes must be documented and sent to the project management team.
- Must maintain tools and materials needed to “adapt and overcome” any challenges in the field including utility shutdowns.
- Must be capable of communicating at a high level with city inspectors.
- Must maintain a 90% or higher pass rate on all electrical equipment wall installations and maintain less than 10% of service calls generated by installation-related quality issues.
- Must be capable of cross-training and crew development when assigned to supervise and support solar installation crews, allowing roof crew leads to self-perform installations while maintaining consistent quality by performing and documenting (pictures) quality control checks at specific points during the installation process.
- Must be capable of supervising the crew while the electrical apprentice ( roof lead or other designated person by management) gets to experience electrical wall installation and service upgrades.
- Must have required personal tools of the trade, see “minimum required personal tools of the trade”.
- During the first 90 days you will be required to learn how to install Tesla Powerwall coupled with Enphase solar systems.
- We will be looking to you to run your own crew with a helper installing power walls and solar systems. By the end of the 90 days, you will be required to take a proficiency test. This test will include you installing a complete battery and solar system without the help of the lead electrician at Good Faith Energy.
- You must pass this test to be a lead electrician for Good Faith Energy.
- We will provide you with all the on-the-job training as well as classroom materials to advance your knowledge of the systems you will be installing.
