Role Overview

Under general supervision, the Sr. Accountant will collaborate with partners across the organization to:

  • Provide detailed reports, including profit/loss projections

  • Present financial reports and insights to internal leaders

This role will be responsible for providing high level legal support in the management and development of our global trademark portfolio and other IP-related matters.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing trademark portfolio and coordinate with outside counsel under guidance
  • Perform and analyze trademark clearance searches, and provide guidance on product names and slogans
  • Review and analyze trademark watch notices
  • Coordinate with outside counsel for new filings, prosecution, and other trademark matters

The Scientific Computing and Data group at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai partners with scientists to accelerate scientific discovery. The group is composed of a high-performance computing team, the research clinical data warehouse team and a research data services team.


The Senior HPC Administrator, High Performance Computational and Data Ecosystem, is responsible for a computational and data science ecosystem for researchers at Mount Sinai. This ecosystem includes high-performance computing (HPC) systems, clinical research databases, and a software development infrastructure for local and national projects. To meet Sinai’s scientific and clinical goals, the Senior Administrator has a good technical understanding for computational, data and software development systems along with a strong focus on customer service for researchers. The HPC Senior Administrator is an expert troubleshooter and productive team member and leads projects to effective and efficient completion independently under little to no supervision. This position reports to the Director for Computational & Data Ecosystem in Scientific Computing. Specific responsibilities are listed below.


Responsibilities


  • Design, deploy and maintain Scientific Computing’s computational and data science ecosystem including ~30,000 cores with high bandwidth, low latency interconnects, GPUs, large shared memory nodes, databases, scientific workflows and 30+ petabytes of storage in production, clinical data warehouse and software development environment.
  • Lead the troubleshooting, isolation and resolution of all technical issues including application, system, hardware, software, and network). Actively monitors the systems.
  • Maintains, tunes and manages computational, data, cloud technologies and workflow systems for ISMMS researchers, scientists and their external collaborators. Defines and deploys a comprehensive computational and data vision. Identifies and communicates system advantages/disadvantages and tradeoffs.

You will handle multiple projects across 1-3 brands reporting to the Senior Director, working closely with the Innovation, Packaging Development, Creative design, Project Management, New Product Development and Operations teams translating designs and problem-solving based on cost constraints and business objectives. In this role, you will be the master trouble-shooter and problem solver, forecasting potential challenges as well as offering cost-effective solutions to achieve desired package designs.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost-efficient packaging while maintaining technical accuracy and design aesthetics across all e.l.f. beauty brands
  • Strong knowledge of beauty trends to create thumb stopping designs for packaging, pr kits, social media, swag and collaborations
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, including plastic and glass component production
  • Knowledge of printing techniques on primary and secondary cartons
  • Spearhead productivity initiatives to enable continual cost reduction through optimization of the entire packaging process.
  • Drive company-wide environmental initiatives through material reduction, use of post consumer recycled resin and other sustainability targets.
  • Maintain harmonized packaging design principles as layed out by the Harmony team
  • Created cross-functional internal partnerships in conjunction with innovation, design, marketing, NPD and operational teams.
  • Drive timely development of high quality, innovative packages based on customer requirements, manufacturability, wall space, and marketing objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day management of package development and liase with Design team and China NPD team daily to follow up on sample development, modifications etc..
  • Provide leadership to create an environment of teamwork, growth, and technical expertise.
Skills:

  • Extensive package development experience, preferably in prestige beauty and targeting GenZ and GenAlpha
  • Strong and refined typography skills
  • Technical knowledge in beauty packaging a plus
  • Extensive experience working with design, packaging developers, engineers and vendors
  • Ability to think quickly and offer manufacturing solutions in real time
  • Understanding of prestige beauty manufacturing and materials; plastics and glass molding etc. (see above)
  • Highly organized; Communicate information clearly and effectively with team members in China.
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines, quickly managing changing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability best practices
  • Ability to anticipate workload and communicate proactively to Project Manager
  • Superior organizational and communications skills
  • AI proficiency
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years experience in a high volume, deadline-driven environment: fashion and technology industry experience.
  • Experience in direct digital design and art direction for beauty
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, deadline driven.
  • Experience working with in-house digital teams, and/or E-Commerce.
  • Knowledge of computer programs including: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
  • Current on fashion, beauty, design and digital trends
  • Experience working with ecommerce personalization and UX/UI a plus
The base salary range for this role is listed above. Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity. Under e.l.f.'s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications. Compensation components are subject to change at the company's discretion
