About the Role

You will be responsible to secure, maintain, and troubleshoot our computer networks so that our networks operate efficiently and meet business requirements.



Responsibilities

  • Analyze, isolate and resolve network problems with minimal downtime.
  • Work directly with communications providers to resolve outages.
  • Provide ongoing daily support of calls coming through the helpdesk for day-to-day PC and network support from 60+ branches, external sales team, remote users and corporate office.
  • Install, update, monitor and troubleshoot issues with networks, client computers, cellphones and peripherals.
  • Update and Repair PC and laptops as needed.
  • Computer installation and configuration.
  • Maintains an inventory of equipment and parts as well as documentation of vendor activities.
  • Interfaces with outsourced IT, phone and networking vendors as needed.
  • Research and recommend innovative and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Responsible for any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor.



Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 year level I and II support in a business network environment
  • AS or BS Degree in IT related major



Required Skills

  • Router installation/configuration, switches, LAN topologies including IP Sec VPN Tunneling.
  • Hardware Configuration: Familiar with laptop configuration and repair, PC maintenance and troubleshooting, upgrading hardware components, printer maintenance and configuration for the network. Installation and configuration of other peripherals as needed.
  • Ability to independently analyze and solve routine computer related problems. Ability to read a variety of informational documentation, directions, instructions, methods and procedures, such as technical manuals, software manuals wiring diagrams, product documentation and related materials.

The scholar would be a part of a research program funded by Meta at the intersection of neural engineering, human-machine interaction, ethics, and privacy. The project focuses on next-generation bio signal-driven interfaces for long-term use, emphasizing adaptability, robustness, and human-centered design with special focus on ethics and privacy.

This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working across theory, experiments, and systems-level thinking, and who want their work to shape how humans interact with intelligent machines responsibly.

What You'll Work On

You will contribute to the development and evaluation of ethics-centered adaptive brain/muscle-machine interface technologies using physiological signals (primarily sEMG). The work spans:


  • Close collaboration with researchers in neuroscience, engineering, and ethics.

About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Department Information

The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The graduate CS program is currently ranked 6th and the undergraduate 5th nationally by U.S. News and World Report. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. With over 16-degree programs, including its world-renowned online MS in CS, we believe the College to be the largest Computing unit in the United States and, as such, one of the largest producers of computationalist at all levels and of all demographic backgrounds. About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. Job Summary

The Ultrasound Imaging and Therapeutics Research Laboratory ( ) seeks self-motivated and talented individuals to participate in and support operations of a research laboratory. Our mission is to develop and translate approaches, devices, algorithms, and agents with clinical impact based on a synergistic combination of biomedical imaging, image-guided therapy, and bionanotechnology. Overall, we are a collaborative, full-spectrum research group leading the discovery, development, and integration of biomedical imaging technologies and theranostic agents for both fundamental research and clinical applications.

The Ultrasound Imaging and Therapeutics Research Laboratory is part of the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE), and the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University School of Medicine.

The research engineer will provide technical oversight of the research laboratory operations focused on in-vitro/preclinical/clinical imaging. The responsibilities will include daily interactions with graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, clinical collaborators, and other researchers, technical and other support to research staff, and direct reporting to the Principal Investigator.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Designing and fabricating electro-mechanical systems;
  • Facilitate construction and maintenance of custom lab equipment (ultrasound transducers and imaging systems, laser systems, motorized linear axis and robotic positioners, etc.);
  • Maintain instrumentation, implement best practices and training;
  • Serve as a technical source for the researchers in the laboratory;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related area.



Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. (M.S. preferred) in science or engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Biophysics, Chemistry, Biology);
  • Experience in mechanical fabrication and/or circuitry;
  • Experience with ultrasound or laser systems including NDE, diagnostic/therapeutic ultrasound, nanosecond pulsed lasers;
  • Programming skills in Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, C++ desirable;
  • Ability to assess and remedy difficult problems and situations quickly and efficiently;
  • Ability to work well alone as well as in a team environment;
  • Ability to work in physical, hands on environment;
  • Ability to act independently on technical matters pertaining to projects and laboratory;
  • Exhibits creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in conducting research programs/projects.

Job Summary

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Heterogeneous Integration and Advanced Packaging (HI/AP). The School is interested in HI/AP topics including, but not limited to: bonding technologies for 3DHI, co-packaged photonics, 2.5D/3D HI technologies, advanced materials for HI/AP, system co-design and optimization, glass-core packaging technologies, and advanced assembly and interconnect technologies. Focus on system level demonstrations using HI/AP and circuit/system co-design are relevant.

The School seeks individuals with outstanding potential for research achievement, and a strong aptitude and interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as interest and experience in translating their research to commercial applications. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent. The candidate will also be associated with the Georgia Tech Packaging Research Center, which is a multidisciplinary research center with strong industry and government support devoted to heterogeneous integration and advanced packaging.

The Opportunity

The Institute of Simulation and Training (IST) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking applicants for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure earning, embedded research training and engineer-oriented, research position. This is a full-time Contract and Grants (C&G)-based faculty position to support ongoing federally sponsored research in a long-standing and agile R&D lab. We are seeking an Assistant In Embedded Training Researcher/Software Engineer with expertise in advanced algorithms and software development, computer visualization, and immersive training technologies to support the design, development, and implementation of next-generation embedded, visual, and intelligent research training systems. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team conducting applied research in simulation-based training, modeling, and opportunity-based training systems.

Key Responsibilities


  • Research, design, develop, and implement software to enhance training in real-world and 3D environments. Develop high-fidelity visual simulation and application prototypes.


  • Research and develop frameworks for embedded hardware and software for advanced embedded training systems.


  • Work with interdisciplinary teams including engineers, cognitive scientists, and domain experts to define research objectives, design experiments, and analyze results.


  • Create prototypes and capabilities demonstrators to showcase IST's expertise aligned with trends and opportunities.


  • Design and execute hands-on demonstrations and exhibits at strategic events.


  • Perform embedded hardware and software research and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.


Minimum Qualifications:

A master's degree from an accredited institution in a field related to computer science or computer engineering and two years of related professional experience, or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field related to computer science or computer engineering and five years of related professional experience.

Strong applicants will have experience in at least three of the following areas:


  • Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality concepts and development experience
  • Artificial Intelligence use

    • Working knowledge of Unity's ML Agents or similar systems
    • Computer Vision applications development using AI techniques


  • C, Objective C, C++, C#, Java or Python software languages

Job Summary

The Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a Research Engineer II position. This role supports sponsored research in the modeling and simulation of turbulent reacting multiphase flows in propulsion and power systems.

The successful candidate will conduct high-fidelity computational research using Large Eddy Simulation (LES) and Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) to investigate complex turbulent reacting flows in aerospace propulsion applications, including gas turbines, scramjets, and liquid rocket systems. Research activities are closely aligned with externally funded projects and include simulation development, model validation, data analysis, reporting, and dissemination of results.

Required Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree, or
  • A Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering , and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor's degree, or
  • A Doctoral degree.

  • Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field

  • Demonstrated expertise in turbulence modeling, LES, and DNS

  • Experience developing, validating, and implementing subfilter/subgrid-scale models

  • Strong background in high-performance computing (HPC), including massively parallel computing on large-scale heterogeneous systems

  • Experience with CFD code development and optimization for multi-core architectures and GPU-accelerated platforms

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Fortran, C, and MATLAB

  • Experience with advanced data processing and large-scale simulation post-processing

  • Record of peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations in fluid dynamics, combustion, or related fields

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment and communicate technical results effectively

About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. All ECE undergraduate and graduate programs are in the top five of the most recent college rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

Job Summary

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for the position of Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses in the area of Electrical Engineering.

Specifically, we are seeking an individual who is invested in engineering education and who will deliver excellent teaching in the area of electrical power systems, power electronics, power conversion, and rotating machines. We are open to applicants in all areas of electrical engineering, but we are particularly interested in candidates with teaching and research experience in one or more of the following topics: power electronic devices, controls, and circuits; power system modeling, control, stability, protection, and transients, motor/generator modeling, design, and testing.

This is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track academic position. Salary commensurate with qualifications. (Includes full benefits). Lecturer positions are part of a teaching faculty career track at Georgia Tech which provides opportunities for advancement to Senior and Principal Lecturer positions.

Primary responsibilities of the Lecturer will include, but are not limited to:

  • providing high-quality classroom teaching
  • teaching primarily undergraduate classes
  • participating in course development
  • integrating innovative research and best practices for promoting student success in engineering education.
