As an Integral Fuel Cell Assembly (In-Tank Mechanic), you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety while working within the confined spaces of aircraft fuel tanks. This position requires assembling and installing structural components, systems, and sub-assemblies to meet stringent quality requirements. You will be responsible for verifying kitted parts, performing drilling, riveting, and bonding, as well as assembling plumbing and electrical systems within the tank. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you conduct continuity checks, perform necessary rework, and ensure that all installations comply with specifications. Please note that this role involves working in tight spaces, including entering the wing through a approximately 9.5" x 17.7" opening; therefore, comfort with confined spaces is essential for success in this position.

Position Responsibilities : 

  • Assemble and install parts, structural components, systems, and sub-assemblies to meet quality requirements for wing and horizontal stabilizer assemblies. 

  • Review bar charts or automated timelines to determine job assignments and obtain necessary drawings. 

  • Locate work areas using drawings, installation plans, or other paperwork that specifies airplane and section numbers. 

  • Obtain and verify kitted parts against installation plans and bill of materials to ensure they are correct and free of defects. 

  • Retrieve parts from the Parts Control Area or other designated locations if they are not pre-picked, ensuring they meet specifications. 

  • Obtain a two-way radio and confined space flag before working in confined spaces, adhering to Communications System for Confined Hazardous Areas (CSCHA) rules and regulations. 

  • Perform drilling, reaming, riveting, cold working, bonding, grounding, and sealing as necessary to complete work assignments. 

  • Assemble and install aircraft plumbing and electrical systems within closed areas of the wing and horizontal stabilizer, ensuring compliance with specifications. 

  • Perform pickup and rework, incorporating changes and conducting functional checks on work typically installed by lower classifications. 

  • Perform continuity checks for electrical systems and hand form electrical wiring and soldering as necessary for work assignments.

  • Perform final cleaning and closing of fuel cells, including vacuuming and installing fuel cell doors. 

  • Locate and pre-install routing and clamping hardware for in-wing fuel tank electrical and plumbing systems as required. 

  • Use precision measuring instruments to verify that quality standards are achieved. 

  • Report job handicaps, such as errors in sequencing, parts, materials, and assembly procedures, following shop procedures. 

  • Check work after completion of each operation to ensure assembly is complete and free of defects and remove and replace installations and related components as necessary. 

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:  

  • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs. 

  • Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting. 

  • Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants. 

  • Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards. 

  • Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions. 

  • Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of in-building DAS installation experience.
  • Extensive experience with cable installation in IT, RF, electrical, and/or telecommunications fields.
  • Expertise in fiber fusion splicing, terminations, dressing, cleaning, and OTDR testing.
  • Proven ability in RF Sweep and PIM measurements.
  • Solid understanding of wireless networks, including modulation techniques (UTMS, GSM, LTE), amplifier/antenna/cable theory, link budgets, and propagation tools.

Your main responsibilities


PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW:


Field Supt is responsible of the repair of all assigned units so as to conform to customer and Company requirements as related to quality improvement, safety, cost improvement and customer satisfaction in support of Region objectives. Is also responsible for employee selection, training and safety for all assigned projects.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


The qualified candidate must be a high-energy self-starter with a strong work ethic. This individual will need to be motivated by a competitive industry and be results, detail and team-oriented. As a Schindler NI Field Superintendent, the candidate’s role will include providing technical solutions, ensuring workplace safety, supervising technicians and job site activity, and supporting new installation and modernization sales. The selected candidate must be an expert at fulfilling customer requirements and maximizing profitability; excellent communication, financial acumen, business development, and management skills will all be critical to success in this role. The NI Field Superintendent must also have the necessary skills and experience to handle customer concerns, adjust manpower levels according to business needs, and to teach employees the Company’s quality, productivity and safety methodology.


Additional responsibilities include:


• Build a team environment by leading field technicians

• Manage training and development of field technicians on established processes, safety, tools and standards through daily communication and job-site visitation.

• Foster excellent communication among team members while maintaining good working relationships with the local union

• Ensure that each installation project meets Company quality and safety standards, as well as all contract requirements.

• Monitor project installation progress completion and drive installation efficiency through daily job-site visitation for progress reporting.

• Perform project installation surveys which includes walking multiple flights of stairs for accessing motor rooms, pits and shaftways.

• Perform daily job-site readiness walkthroughs with general contractors prior to delivery of equipment and project installation commencement.

• Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety for new installation projects.

• Support the local sales and project management team in estimating new installation bids, attending customer job progress meetings, as well as investigating and resolving customer complaints.

• Develop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality among all staff and field employees

• Participate in Company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of Elevator Company products, services and procedures


What you bring


Bachelor’s degree preferred OR 3 years of technical experience in the elevator industry or related field.

• Ability to effectively manage and resolve sensitive employee relations issues

• Solid problem solving and proven negotiating skills, high sense of urgency, strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent PC skills

The Outside Machinist must possess knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform job operations/tasks on conventional and nuclear ships and submarines. The Outside Machinist must be assignable to any work center excluding nuclear and subsafe machinery.
The following is a list of typical work that an Outside Machinist might be asked to perform:



  • Remove, repair, overhaul, install and align main propulsion machinery and associated equipment/components. Also remove, repair, overhaul, install, and align equipment associated with auxiliary systems such as condensers, compressors, pumps, forced draft blowers, main feed pumps, various types of valves, cargo handling machinery, anchor handling gear, boat davits, cranes, elevators, conveyors, firefighting equipment, machine shop equipment, galley, and laundry equipment.
  • Install and repair foundations for operating machinery and principal structures/components of the ships armament.
  • Install, adjust, set, and repair or replaces various control/regulating or safety devices such as meters, gauges, valves, governors, and automatic alarms. Test or assist in the testing of shipboard machinery pier side or on sea trials to prove satisfactory operation and acceptance.
  • Use various portable and fixed machine tools such as boring bars, milling machines, facing machines, and drill presses. Use precision measuring instruments such as height gages, depth gages, calipers, verniers, and various types of micrometers, and assists in the use of optical equipment.
  • Coordinate and arrange for the work of several trades in connection with performing work from information received from technical work documents, blueprints, specifications, and written and/or oral instructions.
  • Engineer, steam, machinist, installation, marine erector, marine machinist, outfitter, outside-installation machinist Installs ship machinery, for example, propelling machinery, auxiliary motors, pumps, ventilating equipment, and steering gear, working from blueprints and using hand tools, calipers, and micrometers.

Position Summary:
The DOT Sign Installer is responsible for installing signs on state highways and other roadways, working either independently or as part of a sign installation control crew. This role includes setting up and maintaining safe work zones as required to ensure the safety of both the crew and the public.

Essential Functions:

  • Install, remove, and maintain DOT roadway signs, posts, and related hardware.
  • Ensure all installations meet DOT, MUTCD, and company safety standards.
  • Assemble and install sign posts using a jackhammer and other necessary tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, site plans, and installation specifications to ensure accurate installation.
  • Operate hand and power tools, jack hammers, drills, and basic construction equipment.
  • Drive the sign installation vehicle with a trailer to and from project sites and operate safely on work sites.
  • Load, transport, and unload signs, posts, and materials to and from job sites
  • Perform routine inspections and repairs of existing signage.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and traffic control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Previous experience installing DOT or roadway signage in sign installation or a similar trade is required; certification from ATSSA as a Worksite Traffic Technician or Supervisor is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet federal DOT requirements; a CDL Class B is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of DOT and MUTCD standards.
  • Experience using construction tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions as provided by supervisors and project leads.
  • Capability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds to handle materials and equipment.

This position requires the ability to travel out of town as needed for various job sites.

  1. Must be fully qualified and capable of working directly with project management to understand and evaluate scheduled electrical work needed to complete projects in a timely manner.
  2. Must be capable of performing all duties associated with the crew lead position and in addition. 
  3. Must be able to self-prepare for all scopes of electrical work needed by evaluating pictures from site assessment and communicating directly with the project management and design team about any necessary changes or improvements to the electrical plan set. These changes must be documented and sent to the project management team. 
  4. Must maintain tools and materials needed to “adapt and overcome” any challenges in the field including utility shutdowns. 
  5. Must be capable of communicating at a high level with city inspectors. 
  6. Must maintain a 90% or higher pass rate on all electrical equipment wall installations and maintain less than 10% of service calls generated by installation-related quality issues. 
  7. Must be capable of cross-training and crew development when assigned to supervise and support solar installation crews, allowing roof crew leads to self-perform installations while maintaining consistent quality by performing and documenting (pictures) quality control checks at specific points during the installation process. 
  8. Must be capable of supervising the crew while the electrical apprentice ( roof lead or other designated person by management) gets to experience electrical wall installation and service upgrades. 
  9. Must have required personal tools of the trade, see “minimum required personal tools of the trade”.
  10. During the first 90 days you will be required to learn how to install Tesla Powerwall coupled with Enphase solar systems. 
  11. We will be looking to you to run your own crew with a helper installing power walls and solar systems. By the end of the 90 days, you will be required to take a proficiency test. This test will include you installing a complete battery and solar system without the help of the lead electrician at Good Faith Energy. 
  12. You must pass this test to be a lead electrician for Good Faith Energy.
  13. We will provide you with all the on-the-job training as well as classroom materials to advance your knowledge of the systems you will be installing.
  14. Attends all meetings and conference calls.
