Primary Purpose of Position

Demonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in carrying out assignments associated with the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and proposed modification of plant specific maintenance and technical training programs (Chemistry, Engineering, Maintenance: Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical, and Radiation Protection).

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

• Drives the clean energy center (CEC) and personnel performance improvement through the use of training. Develops, schedules, coordinates, and conducts performance-based maintenance or technical training programs as required by user community in accordance with Constellation's systematic approach to training model, department procedures, and with proper application of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases.
• Prepares trainee examination and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments, as appropriate and conducts counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and recommends/develops individualized training programs.
• Participates in CEC support activities, i.e. outage support, root cause support, line assessment support.
• Assures the training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Significant Operating Experience Reports and Constellation Nuclear Event Reports (NERs), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Bulletins and Information Notices, CEC design change and backfit information, CEC procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
• Support CEC and fleet in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
• Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities.
• Participates in NRC, INPO and management audits, and prepares responses to audit findings.
• Maintains knowledge of plant operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, commensurate with the responsibility to develop and conduct effective, high-quality training.
• Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

Job Summary:

Diane Gilman (RTW Division) is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Associate Technical

Designer to join our Technical Design team. The ideal candidate will support the technical design

process- ensuring fit, quality, and construction standards are maintained across all styles. In this role,you will collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Production, and Overseas partners across multiple brands and categories of knit and soft woven womenswear. This is a mid level position. Candidates must have at least 4 years of working experience in Technical Design not including internships.

Key Responsibilities:

-Follow established fit standards and processes.

-Track, prepare and measure fit samples before fittings.

-Support Senior Technical Designer in reviewing and evaluating sample measurements and

construction of all fit samples to determine they are meeting intended design requirements.

-Collaborate with design and production teams through live model fittings.

-Take clear notes for designated product area during fittings.

-Give input during fittings to communicate fit issues and give solutions to improve garment fit and

construction.

-Issue revised product specifications and fit correction comments after the fittings in the PLM system. This includes photo or sketch corrections and pattern correction images as necessary.

-Work with the Production Team in meeting timelines and communicating the necessary information to the overseas factories.

-Check all grading and tolerances are updated properly for bulk production.

Position Summary 

The Judy Blue Technical Designer will demonstrate expertise and knowledge in both junior and plus-size denim – development, fit, construction, sizing, grading, and production practices and procedures. The ideal candidate will have proven success in an apparel/garment construction and manufacturing environment with a specific focus on denim. The Technical Designer is responsible for a cross-functional position that interacts with both the creative and executive parts of the business. This role collaborates with the Technical Design, Design, Product Development, and Production teams, and reports to the Director of Production. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Support the Technical Design team in all aspects; working closely with other team members to effectively manage the overall workload related to construction, fit, approvals, comments, timelines, and other relevant tasks, all under the guidance of Senior Technical Designer. 
• Prepare for, organize, and lead fittings, and record accurate fit comments during fittings. 
• Analyze all samples for size, fit, quality, and construction and review findings with Senior TD as needed. 
• Revise patterns, grade rules, and construction as needed, under the guidance of Senior TD. 
• Communicate daily with overseas vendors re: fit, specs, grading issues and construction via fit comments and email correspondence. 
• Maintain sample library, measurement charts, technical documentation, and tracking.

THE PURPOSE:

The Manager, Technical Design - Denim leads the technical design process for denim, ensuring products meet the brand’s fit, construction, and quality standards from concept through production. POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an experienced technical designer with a background in sweater knitting (accessories or apparel), yarn and fabric materials. Your primary role will be to own product creation, construction, fit, and quality of assigned Brands. You will create the tech packs, and be the primary source of communication with the factory on specs for each style you manage. You will collaborate with the product business development team, merchandisers, production and overseas teams ensuring product technical execution and consistency meeting production timelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own product construction and execution based on the product brief, materials, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Work in partnership with the Product Business Development (PBD) team in translating the buyer’s tech packs and converting information into PSIs within the internal PLM system.
• Create, maintain, and update technical information and measurement sets in the PLM system for owned Brands.
• Understand construction and material impact on costing and provide recommendations for construction/material adjustments to meet the product brief.
• Be a member of the Technical Design (TD) team in creating technical specifications, balancing multiple projects during peak periods.
• Check-in samples for owned Brands reviewing for fit, trim, and construction per the product brief.
• Understand timelines and have a sense of urgency in sample turnaround times.
• Support sample check-ins and document fit, trim, and construction feedback.
• Lead tech pack hand-off meetings to the overseas merchandising team and factory for assigned brands.
• Attend 1st piece reviews with the overseas merchandising team.
• Collaborate with product development and overseas teams to ensure alignment on product construction and timelines.
• Participate in Brand meetings for seasonal kick-off, promoting conversation around technical construction details in alignment with brand initiatives.
• Support PBD team in compiling trend and market research with a construction and materials lens.
• Build seasonal trend presentations, specific to assigned accounts, using tools like 3D Apex, In-Design, AI, Photoshop, Canva, etc.
• Prepare CAD/3D designs for assigned accounts, as needed, for presentations and sample requests (proto/SMS).
• Train in 3D design and contribute to pushing the 3D program to its full potential through Research and Development.
• Proactively provide suggestions on how to execute the product in the highest quality and competitive price point, aligning with the product brief.
• Support product/decoration innovation through research and development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong understanding of knit structures and knit constructions.
• Knowledge of fibers, yarns, knitting, and cut/sew knits, and ballcaps.
• Ability to create technical specification package based on measurement sets, inspiration images, and product brief.
• Ability to spec products, read and understand fit comments to make corrections and effectively communicate to the factory.
• Proactively tackles challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset, taking initiative to drive effective and practical outcomes.
• Product risk assessment skills: can identify product risks in manufacturing and troubleshoot.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, self-manage and work independently.
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
• Able to deconstruct and reconstruct the product.
• Experience with AI/automation design render tools.
• Proficient in computer skills including Excel, Adobe Creative Suite; training provided for internal PLM & 3D systems.

• Positive attitude with a passion for the outdoor, fashion, and knitwear industries.
• Background in 3D design system, specific background in Apex Shima Seiki a plus.
• Have a design eye.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in design or product development fields.
• 5+ years experience in technical design/product development with knowledge in knitwear.
• Experience in headwear and sweaters preferred.

SALARY RANGE:

$80-$100K.

The Role

Caleffi is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to serve as the voice of our product expertise. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering and user-friendly documentation, ensuring our customers—from installers to engineers—have the most accurate and professional technical resources in the industry.

You’ll work closely with our local Product and Marketing teams and our global technical experts at Caleffi S.p.A. to manage the full lifecycle of technical collateral.

Key Responsibilities

• Author & Editor: Create comprehensive instruction sheets, technical brochures, and submittal data for a premier line of hydronic and plumbing solutions.
• Global Collaboration: Partner with internal subject matter experts and our Italian headquarters to translate technical specs into polished, North American market-ready content.
• Quality Control: Act as the final line of defense for technical accuracy, grammar, and brand consistency across all print and digital media.
• Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring competitor technical marketing programs and evolving our online technical tools.

What You’ll Need

• Industry Expertise: Minimum 4 years of experience in the HVAC, Hydronic, or Plumbing industries.
• Technical Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, the Sciences, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
• Software Mastery: Power-user skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office.
• Precision: A "eagle eye" for detail and the ability to simplify complex mechanical concepts for diverse audiences.
