Assistant Superintendent - Civil Construction - Raritan, NJ

Responsibilities: As the Assistant Superintendent, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth field operations, including:

• Supporting the Superintendent with daily site supervision and coordination
• Monitoring progress, field productivity, safety compliance, and quality standards
• Assisting in managing subcontractors and resolving on-site issues
• Reviewing site plans, specifications, and drawings
• Conducting daily reporting, including work logs, safety checks, and project updates
• Helping to enforce project schedules and assist with short-interval planning
• Ensuring all work adheres to company standards, project requirements, and local regulations
• Participating in site meetings and communicating with project managers and field teams

Qualifications:

• 2-5+ years of civil construction experience (site work, earthwork, utilities, roadwork, concrete, or related disciplines)
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• OSHA certifications (30-hour preferred) a plus
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work outdoors and adapt to fast-paced project demands
