Title: Production Lead

Location: Coppell, TX

Job Type: Full-Time, In-Office (5 days/week)


The Opportunity

HumCap’s client is seeking an experienced Production Lead to support daily production operations and drive team success. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that plays a key part in meeting productivity, quality, and customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support production teams to meet daily output and performance goals
  • Ability to lead kitting operations that support a mix of real‑time, project‑based, and planned fulfillment workflows across multiple customer teams.
  • Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and time reporting; address inefficiencies as needed
  • Ensure continuous product flow and timely equipment and line setup
  • Monitor inventory and material availability; escalate shortages or headcount needs promptly
  • Train, cross-train, coach, and develop team members to support growth and advancement
  • Conduct start-of-day and end-of-day team meetings
  • Complete performance metrics, KPI reporting, and other required production reports
  • Address employee performance issues, misconduct, and policy adherence; engage Manager and HR as needed
  • Identify and drive process improvement opportunities in collaboration with management
  • Report workplace, safety, or equipment issues and support corrective actions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with vendors to resolve production challenges
  • Lead special projects and conduct performance reviews as assigned
  • Maintain high standards for quality, safety, security, and professionalism


Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience leading or supervising kitting / material preparation operations, supporting both real‑time and scheduled production orders across multiple customer programs.
  • Minimum 1 year of related production or leadership experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience leading teams and meeting performance targets in a production or warehouse environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and enterprise or production-related systems
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, procedures, and client requirements
  • Comfortable preparing routine reports and documentation
  • Basic math skills and ability to apply common-sense reasoning to operational challenges


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Warehouse environment; may not be climate-controlled
  • Regular use of office and manual warehouse equipment
  • Standing, walking, and working on the floor approximately 80% of the time
  • Occasional lifting or moving of up to 30 pounds
  • Extended periods of computer use and repetitive hand movements
