The Mobile Production Manager oversees the daily execution of production plans, which includes strategic workforce management; achievement of daily production, safety and quality metrics; and precise inventory control. This role demands strict compliance with GMP and safety standards, and the ability to work flexible shifts across various schedules.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily production, measured by output per day and machine uptime compared to production goals, at highest levels of quality and safety
- Collaborate with Sojo Automation Technicians on routine and ad-hoc maintenance and repair and maximize machine uptime
- Schedule production based on weekly capacity plan; manage the direct relationship with the staffing agency to ensure the required headcount is on site
- Train entire production team on each job function (e.g. dekitting, palletizing, loading, QC Checks, etc..)
- Maintain and track daily labor hours by line associate to support invoice reconciliation to staffing agencies
- Maintain and follow all local site safety and quality related functions including training and supervision of the production team on all local GMPs
- Ensure customers’ finished goods recipes and standard operation procedures are consistently executed

Position Overview
GZ Printpak LLC is seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to lead evening manufacturing operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing production teams on the floor and ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and performance goals are achieved.
The Production Supervisor serves as the primary point of leadership for the shift and is expected to maintain a consistent floor presence. This role requires strong communication skills, hands-on leadership, and the ability to manage people, processes, and performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support production teams during 2nd shift operations with full accountability for shift performance

Position Summary
A large food‑processing facility is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Superintendent to oversee deboning operations. This role provides strategic and day‑to‑day leadership for production teams, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient workflow across the department. The superintendent directs front‑line supervisors, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures operational targets for safety, quality, throughput, training, and cost performance are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership
- Plan, manage, and prioritize departmental production activities to meet goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Provide direction to Supervisors and teams, ensuring strong communication, accountability, and consistent execution of production plans.
- Lead daily review of production performance and drive corrective actions where needed.
Continuous Improvement
- Champion Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement efforts focused on waste reduction, efficiency gains, standard work, and employee engagement.
- Review production KPIs such as yields, downtime, rework, labor utilization, and safety trends; identify issues and implement root‑cause‑based solutions.
Safety & Compliance
- Partner with safety leadership to maintain and enforce department safety programs and PPE requirements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, food safety and quality programs, and customer specifications, including USDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, and internal policies.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, and Sanitation to optimize throughput and ensure seamless production.
- Adjust schedules and priorities as needed due to equipment downtime, staffing issues, or production demands.
Team Development & Leadership
- Lead, coach, and mentor Production Supervisors, ensuring strong leadership development, cross‑training, and succession planning.
- Set expectations, review individual and team performance, and approve performance evaluations for both direct and indirect reports.
- Create a positive, respectful working environment built on fairness, communication, and high ethical standards.
Operational Management
- Monitor and manage departmental labor, material use, and operating costs to maintain budget alignment.
- Utilize structured problem‑solving tools, process control strategies, and cross‑functional teamwork to exceed production targets.
- Partner with HR to address employee relations matters, support talent selection, and contribute to workforce retention strategies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a high‑volume protein or manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams with a focus on safety, quality, training, and performance development.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast‑paced, high‑throughput manufacturing setting.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and production reporting systems.

Purpose of Position:
We are seeking a Production Supervisor I to help us continually aspire to our purpose and mission by ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of a manufacturing shift of highly engaged personnel. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining an energized environment, where employees work together to safely produce quality products that meet or exceed our customer’s requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain high level of visibility with production staff. Use hands-on approach to communicate daily goals and involve production staff in problem solving.
- Develop a high-performance work team with high levels of worker morale, satisfaction, and performance.
- Create and maintain a respectful work environment by listening, seeking facts to support decisions, managing one's own reactions, and addressing unacceptable behavior.

- Support and implement new, customer-focused processes in accordance with lean principles and practices. Provide training and coaching to improve standard work, work center organization (5S), and housekeeping. Actively provide change leadership as required.
- Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging production staff to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation.
- Support production staff in understanding company policies and practices.
- Maintain time, attendance, vacation, and production records.
- Take ownership of process related problems and support production staff in taking corrective action to improve the overall performance of the team.
- Communicate with and listen to production staff daily regarding work team performance, strategic initiatives, policy changes, safety, quality, etc.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience and knowledge.
- 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing methodology preferred
- Experience in identifying and driving operational change and excellence.
- Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.

The Quality & Production Manager is responsible for leading all manufacturing, quality, and shipping operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production that meets customer and business requirements. This role oversees daily shop operations, quality systems, inspection processes, and shipping performance while driving continuous improvement in productivity, scrap reduction, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
This position is a hands-on leader who builds discipline, accountability, and process consistency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and delivery commitments
- Supervise Production Team Lead and production staff; ensure appropriate training, performance management, and workforce planning

- Identify and implement process improvements to improve throughput and reduce waste

- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing instructions

Experience in plastic injection molding, extrusion, thermoplastics, rubber, TPE, elastomers, blow molding, thermoforming, or polyolefins would be a plus.
