The Opportunity

As a dedicated Injury Adjuster, you will work within defined guidelines and framework, responsible to adjust non-attorney involved soft tissue bodily injury to include confirming coverage, determining liability, investigating, evaluating, negotiating, defending, and settling claims in compliance with state laws and regulations. Accountable for delivering a concierge level of best in class member service through setting appropriate expectations, proactive communications, advice, and compassion.

This hybrid role requires an individual to be in the office 3 days per week. This position will be based out of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Chesapeake, VA; Colorado Springs, CO; Phoenix, AZ; and Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Identifies and handles existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.

  • Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.

What you have:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.

  • Working knowledge and understanding of the auto claims contract as well as application of case and state laws and regulations.

  • Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and designated number of attempts.

We are looking for a dedicated SIU Manager (P&C).  Responsible for operational management of Claims fraud investigative teams. Directs staff in the investigation of cases involving questionable, suspect, or fraudulent activity.     • Monitor all Security and Park radio traffic. Answer radio calls and provide appropriate responses. Includes dispatching and coordinating response to security-related calls for service, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
    • Broadcast information, alerts, and/or messages over all Park radio channels as directed.
    • Create and track calls for service in computer dispatch system. Accurately account for active calls for service, officer assignments, and officer locations at all times.
    • Monitor Park alarm system, surveillance systems, and weather tracking/alert system.
  • Work alongside the Loss Prevention Investigators:
    • Monitor surveillance systems.
    • Gain an understanding of fixed and mobile surveillance efforts, including CCTV installation and maintenance.

Job Summary

Work collaboratively with infection and prevention and control staff under leadership, to accomplish the goals and objective of the Infection Prevention program. Evaluation of infection control trends, practices, and provide educational programs for employees. Possess a basic understanding and working knowledge of microbiology and epidemiology. Responsibilities include surveillance of health care associated infections and reportable illness, evaluation and reporting of statistical information, consultation of asepsis, disinfection, sterilization, isolation, disease transmission and related issues. Monitors compliance standards and regulations, strategies, and evidence-based aspects. Evaluates and improves performance of patient/resident outcomes. Assists with research needs and special projects are assigned. Understand or be willing to learn computer programs and applications necessary for data collection and analysis. Possess good interpersonal skills as well as willingness to seek out new information and knowledge. Able to think critically and problem solve effectively.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing, related clinical field, or graduate from an approved Masters of Public Health program preferred.

If degree is in nursing, graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).

Two years' of experience in a healthcare field required.

If working in an Acute setting, Board of Certification in Infection Control (CIC) by the Certification Board of Infection Control, Inc. (CBIC) is required. If certification is not obtained at the time of hire, a full time employed incumbent is required to sit for the exam within 36 months from date of hire. A part time employed incumbent is required to sit for the exam within 48 months from date of hire. A 12-month extension is allowed from the date of the first exam. At the end of the 12 months, if certification has not been obtained, an action plan will be devised by leadership in consultation with human resources.

If working in a Post-Acute setting, completion of an approved Infection Prevention course by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is required.

If a licensed registered nurse (RN), currently hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports the Director, Infection Control, in providing a robust, comprehensive health system wide infection control program in accordance with current standards of practice and in compliance with regulatory agencies and governmental policies and procedures. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum of five years of infection prevention experience within a hospital setting required with a Baccalaureate degree in nursing or higher required. Three years of recent infection prevention experience in an acute care hospital setting is required. Preferred: post-graduate courses in epidemiology, infection prevention or disease control, completion of CDC or APIC sponsored infection prevention training is desirable. Supervisory and managerial experience is desirable. Working knowledge of statistics and epidemiological principles is required.
